Chapter 36 - Enter Flashtime

MacKenzie's POV

Caitlin checks my vitals on the computer as I lay in the bed in the medbay

"How much longer?" I ask, playing with the monitor on my finger

"A few more minutes." Caitlin says, scrolling through the data she was getting from all the wires hooked to me and the blood tests she took.

"I only passed out, I don't get why you're doing all these tests." I say

"You didn't just pass out." Caitlin says. "You've been unconscious for 3 days. I need to make sure everything is alright."

I groan, antsy in bed, and flop my head back on the bed

"I'm only dealing with your physical health, later you have therapy." Caitlin says, continuing to type on the computer. Then, she stops. "Have you been eating?" Caitlin asks, looking at me from around the computer

I look to her

"Of course." I tell her

"Your glucose and iron levels are very low." Caitlin says

"I'm a vegetarian and lactose intolerant." I remind her. "I'm gonna be lower than other people."

"I'm going to set up a meeting with a dietician for you." Caitlin says

"A food doctor?" I ask, whining. "I don't like going to the doctors."

"They're just going to guide you to eat better foods." Caitlin says. "Nothing else."

"No tests?" I ask

"No tests." Caitlin says

I relax back into the bed. I don't like going to the doctors. I've only ever let Caitlin be my doctor, even when I was younger. I don't even go to the school nurse -- I just wait for Caitlin

Later...

We're in the cortex, Caitlin stretching Cisco's arm, when Barry and Iris walk in

"Mack, you're up." Barry says, relieved.

Barry and Iris both hug me

"What is this?" Iris asks, looking at what Harry was doing on the computer

"This is a signature field, mapping every time DeVoe's gone in and out of his layer in the pocket dimension."

"All of these?" Barry asks

"All of them." Caitlin confirms

"So, how did you do this?" Iris asks

"I didn't do it, actually." Harry says. "Ramon did."

"But all I did was just come up with a really complex and eloquent algorithm to track the warping signatures." Cisco says

"Don't do that, all right? Don't do that." Harry tells Cisco. "Don't be modest. All right? It's unbecoming."

"You're unbecoming." Cisco fires back

"You wish I was unbecoming, all right?" Harry says.

"Do you know that these are DeVoe?" Barry asks

"These are DeVoe, all right?" Harry says, then he points. "This is when Marlize grabbed him from Izzy at Lawrence Hills. This is when he showed up at Iron Heights prison."

"This is DeVoe's house." Caitlin says, pointing

"And this is the alleyway in the city center, where he abducted you." Iris says, pointing
