"promise you won't forget about me while you're gone?" daisy hugged amelia whilst they stood on the platform 9 3/4.
"dais, i don't think that i could forget about you even if i tried," amelia laughed, hugging her friend back. fred stood behind amelia, holding her luggage as he waited for her to say her goodbyes to her friends.
"fred weasley, you better take care of her while i'm gone, alright?" daisy turned to fred now. he simply nodded, smiling in response before flashing a quick wink at amelia.
"i'll be alright, i promise. i'll text you all the time." amelia held on to daisy's hands. "i promise!" she hugged her friend one last time.
"bloody hell, you two are so dramatic. it's only christmas break." ron snickered, standing next to fred. amelia only laughed in response, but daisy quickly flashed him a bird.
"have fun, but not too much fun." daisy smirked at amelia before turning to go her own separate way.
"love you, dais!"
"i love you more!"
after saying goodbye, amelia turned to face fred who was patiently waiting for her.
"you ready?" he asked, taking her hand in his as they prepared to step through the brick column into the muggle world. amelia simply nodded in response, offering his hand a quick squeeze.
the first thing amelia saw after stepping through the ordinary, brick column was mr. and mrs. weasley.
"amelia! darling!" molly weasley ran up to amelia and wrapped her arms around her. "we're so excited to have you with us this holiday season. when fred told me i just couldn't believe it!" she hugged amelia tightly.
the weasleys had always been like amelia's second family. when she lost her parents, they opened their home to her and treated her like their own daughter.
"thank you so much for letting me stay with you guys," amelia hugged the woman back.
"nonsense! we wouldn't want you staying in that big castle all by yourself." arthur weasley added, standing next to his wife.
"mum, you're smothering her." ron muttered under his breath. amelia laughed at ron's comment as molly let go of amelia.
"sorry dear, okay fred where's george?" molly seemed to struggle keeping track of all of her red-haired children.
"here!" george laughed, teasing percy as his parents glared at him.
before amelia knew it, they were at the burrow. amelia had visited fred and stayed with the weasleys hundreds of times, but this time was different. this time was different because she was a weasley now, fred's voice echoed in her head.
as she entered the family home, her stomach filled with butterflies. she couldn't help but to feel nervous. it was as if now that she was fred's girlfriend, she didn't know how to act.
"okay love, you'll be staying in gin's room." fred grabbed amelia's luggage and started to take it up the stairs towards ginny's bedroom. amelia nodded in response, grabbing her remaining possessions and following fred to ginny's room.
as amelia walked into ginny's room, she noticed that they had already set up an extra mattress for her on the floor, and amelia couldn't help but to blush. she felt right at home with the weasleys, something that she had never truly felt before.
fred sat on ginny's bed as amelia unpacked and got settled into her new home for the holidays. in the weasley's house, alongside fred, she felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
