The sky was dark with no hint of stars but it didn't bothered the day as the resident of Sharma's and Malhotra's were glimmering in happiness of lights for the occasion.

Dhol and shehnai were the some instruments which were played at the decorated entrance of the Sharma's for the guest who were enjoying the warm hospitality they were given in the ceremony of Nandini's Gauna.

Where the guest had started making themselves comfortable around in the function with the Sharma's on toes to make sure everything was going with the planned auspicious time, there was someone somewhere upstairs in the room who was agitated to no extent with each ticking time.

Staring in the reflector, Nandini found a bride sitting ideally before the mirror with nothing but apprehension all over her adorned face.

Head covered with veil were seemed more prominent to the frown than the forehead jewellery on her forehead, while her nose were numb with the nose ring which were tucked till her ear dangling with the heavy jhumkas. Eyes lined with kohl were anxious while lips even being lucious were frigidly cold and trembling.
Her spine was stiff while her inner self were palpitating.

She didn't know if she was to dread his silence or the awaited outburst, as the way he mentioned he wouldn't handle lies in between them left her torn.

She doesn't want to see him break however she also doesn't want to be the bait of his fury after everything they have been through.

It was the moment of their auspicious day which she doesn't want to taint and spoil but ticking of the clock and the rate of her heartbeat told her unwise.

"Will you please stop? You're being too stressed for the day." Snapping her eyes at the pregnant friend who was fixing her dupatta over her head, Nandini drew out a shaky breath before gulping "I'm fine."

"Yeah! Keep telling yourself that. A blind person can also feel the thick tension around you." Shaking her head in disbelief, Navya looked at her friend through the reflector "I don't understand why are you fretting over something which is still so unsure. I mean did he said that he knows something related to you? Did he?" Waiting for her to answer, Navya pressed her lips thin when she didn't got one from her frigidly anxious friend "He didn't, right. All he asked was what a sane person would ask to his life partner before starting a relationship."

"Did your one also queried you on the day of your wedding?" Nandini's straight forward blunt question faltered Navya's mouth as she shut them close making Nandini nod a little looking herself back in the mirror "That's what I meant."

"Am I interrupting?"

Eyes turning to the door where stood a very hesitant Yasmeen, Nandini shook her head with a smile of approval "You didn't had to ask, Yasmeen. Come in."

"You guys were seemed to be occupied that's why I.." trailing off with her eyes catching the sight of her gurvi ji who looked spectacularly breath taking the day, Yasmeen smiled for real "You look so beautiful, gurvi ji."

Curving her lips, Nandini's attention torn short when a clearing of a throat took her eyes toward her other friend who was waiting at the door "Aryaman."

"Nandini." Hearing him rasp clicked Yasmeen's gaze only for her heart to break a little when she caught how his sight were beholding Nandini's appearance until his gaze shifted to her making her take her gaze away.

"You are unacceptably late, Mr. Aryaman Khurana. You were suppose to pick me up." Navya complained glaring at him who couldn't tear his gaze from the girl for whom his heart use to beat, or perhaps it still does "If you were to come with your girlfriend the least you could had done was to ping this poor pregnant friend of yours."
