There is too much tension in the pack. Midnight pack has been victorious but we do have a traitor in our beloved pack that has been backstabbing us. If not one, then more. I need to be extremely careful. I avoided telling Alex on this matter and decided to investigate myself on the unknown man. I decided to meet him as his claim, if true, posed a vital threat to the foundation of the Midnight pack. I reached the riverside as promised. But I also took my special knife with me but it was hidden. I can't risk anything. Suddenly a male voice could be heard. A faint voice saying, " 𝐼𝑡 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑚𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑚𝑒. I looked everywhere. I could smell a musky scent but no one was visible. So I replied back while trying to use my power to know the source of the voice, " 𝐼𝑡 𝑖𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑑, 𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑡? 𝐴𝑓𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑙𝑙, 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛 𝑢𝑛𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑜𝑛. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑒, 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑏𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑑. 𝐴𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟. 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑝 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑜𝑢𝑡."
A voice erupted into laughter and said, "𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑦 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠, 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢, 𝑀𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑛. 𝐵𝑜𝑟𝑛 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑜𝑛. 𝐴 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑔𝑖𝑟𝑙 𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑑. 𝐴𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟......."
He kept talking and that's what I needed.I now knew where the sound could be coming from. It was from the woods beside the riverside I was currently in. I carefully moved towards the sound of his voice. The area was quite dark. As expected, there was a man there. As I got there, I decided not to attack.I didn't want to attack him right there.He didn't pose any threat as for now. He moved around. As expected from my information, he had a different aura. Of An Alpha. He wasn't ordinary as well. Well, Good. If it turns out to be a fight, it wouldn't disappoint.
As I asked, " 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑜𝑛 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑑 𝑚𝑦 𝑔𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑, 𝐿𝑢𝑖𝑠, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒. 𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑎𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡? 𝑊ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑡ℎ 𝑖𝑠, 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑙. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑙𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑒. 𝑊ℎ𝑜 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑒𝑥𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑙𝑦?"
His eyes were glowing in the dark. He suddenly shifted. Taking this as a danger, I shifted as well. If he attacks, it would turn bloody. I took my position but he didn't attack me. He ran towards the riverside. I ran as well. He can't get out if he has information. He suddenly stopped on his tracks and shifted back into human. What the hell does he want?
