Dr. Suting observed my horrified expression and the lingering question that hung in the air. "How are they moving?" I finally voiced my bewilderment.

Dr. Suting, with a hint of amusement, began to explain the uncanny mechanics behind the seemingly animated dolls. "These dolls are equipped with intricate animatronics and robotics, programmed to perform specific actions in response to signals," he elucidated, revealing a layer of technological sophistication beneath their doll-like facade.

He continued, "I've combined my passion for doll-making with cutting-edge technology. The movements are pre-programmed, and with a simple signal, like snapping my fingers, they execute the designated actions."

"I thought you were a biologist of some kind; I didn't know you were an engineer," I remarked, still trying to reconcile the presence of lifelike robots with Dr. Suting's academic background.

"I'm not an engineer; I have a degree in human physiology and pharmacology, with a Ph.D. in one of them," he clarified. The revelation only deepened my astonishment. How did someone with a background in physiology and pharmacology manage to delve into the realms of robotics and animatronics? The complexity of his knowledge base painted Dr. Suting as a true polymath.

Curiosity bubbling within me, I couldn't help but voice my thoughts. "So, how the hell did you somehow make robots? This guy really is a genius," I mused silently.

"I have my ways to do that; please don't overthink it," Dr. Suting replied cryptically, hinting at undisclosed methods or unconventional paths he had taken in pursuit of his passion.

As the conversation meandered, another question lingered on my mind, and I decided to inquire further, "If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"

"I'm twenty-one but with experiences of about thirty years," he responded, unveiling an enigma that demanded an explanation.

The tea party continued in the peculiar ambiance of Dr. Suting's studio, the animated dolls occasionally drawing my attention with their lifelike yet unnerving movements. Despite their unsettling nature, there was an undeniable fascination in witnessing technology and art converge to create these automatons.

Observing the participants, my gaze shifted from the dolls to Dr. Suting, who sat opposite me. On either side of him were the two dolls, their mechanical precision contrasting with the organic unpredictability of a traditional tea party. To my right sat Luka, the left seat conspicuously empty. On the opposite side of Luka was Yori, still wearing his perpetual smile. I noticed his cup was empty; had he finished his drink already?

Judging by Yori's ethereal beauty and immaculate stillness, I couldn't help but marvel at how he resembled a perfectly crafted doll himself. His silky, unnatural hair color and long eyelashes added to the illusion. Softly, he turned to me and inquired, "Is something bothering you, Miss Y/n?" I felt a flush of embarrassment for my inadvertent scrutiny. What was wrong with me?

I resumed partaking in the delectable treats laid out on the table, the rich flavors momentarily distracting me from the uncanny atmosphere. The conversation flowed, and I marveled at the diverse topics Dr. Suting effortlessly navigated-from the intricacies of doll-making to the philosophy behind his unconventional teaching methods.

Eventually, Luka broke his silence, directing his inquiry to Dr. Suting. "Why is there an empty seat here?" he asked, a hint of curiosity and concern in his voice.
