Behind the thick snowstorm, Nano saw a village filled with simple but happy people.

A large tree protects the village from snowfall and the large roots of this tree spread into the mountains and provide protection from disasters.

Greia then walked down the mountain and towards the village under the giant tree.

"Look, this village is protected by a giant tree and the village people named the tree as the Arcane Tree because this tree emits enormous magical energy." Greia explained to Nano while walking towards the village.

"And this is Arcane Village, it takes its name from that tree but the second reason is because this village is very close to the Arcane tree, many people have the talent to become adventurers outside the village." Greia said to Nano and walked into the village.

Greia walked towards one of the houses that looked small and shabby, he opened the door that made an uncomfortable sound and closed it.

"Tada! This is my house, sorry if it's small," Greia said while smiling at Nano.

"..." Nano scanned the surroundings but failed because the function had a problem.

"Oh yeah, you broke it, right? Let me see." Greia took some tools from the equipment city and put Nano on his desk.

"Uh... can you go into sleep mode? or something like that? Artifacts like yours have a function like that, right?" Greia looked at Nano who saw it too before entering sleep mode.

Greia did everything he knew to repair Nano without rest. After 13 hours, Nano turned on again and scanned with the corrected function. But Nano did a scan and saw that Greia was running out of energy and hadn't eaten anything for 13 hours.

"You look tired." Nano said to Greia who looked pale

"..I have to fix you first... and.. I don't have money to buy food.." Greia fell on his bed and fell asleep with a pale face.

"..." Nano looked at Greia before scanning the entire room.

After scanning, he found an old book that was in a pile of scrap metal near his desk. Nano took a book entitled "Human Beauty", Nano scanned the pages one by one and got a lot of new information even though it was only an artifact specifically for scanning materials.

After scanning all the pages of the book, Nano began to understand a little about the outside world and how humans do everything. This information made Nano know that humans need food to do an activity. Nano saw Greia lying on the bed with a pale face and then flew using his towards the door to get out.

"..." Nano flew in the snowstorm-affected forest to look for Cold Apples from the book he scanned.

After flying around, Nano managed to find a Cold Apple from one of the trees with the help of his scanning. Nano made light from his eyes and shone it on the fruit, causing the fruit to be sucked into it with the storage function, he then flew back to the village to give it to Greia.

Greia woke up and saw a blue apple in his hand and saw Nano who was looking at him.

"...You went looking for this..?" Greia said in a weak voice.

"I looked for it after scanning the book." Nano answered.

"But this is... very rare, this could probably be sold for a lot of money..." Greia said to Nano.

"..." Nano then scanned and looked again at the information from the book in the data.

"Calculating.." Nano did basic calculations to decide what to do.

"Complete. If the fruit is sold, you will get around 5 gold coins." Nano answered it

"..is that right..? So we can buy delicious food if we sell this, then let's sell it." Greia then stood up slowly and walked out of his house.

Greia and Nano arrived at the village market and saw lots of people buying and selling.

"Okay... let's sell it..." Greia walked towards the fruit seller and showed the fruit which shocked the seller.

"Uncle... I want to sell this." Greia offered it to the seller.

"Hmm... 1 silver coin" The seller said while grinning because he knew that this would be easy to trick him.

"1 silver..?" Before Greia finished her words, the seller said..

"1 silver, that fruit is just an ordinary fruit that isn't even useful." The seller took the apple from him and threw him a silver coin, making Greia fall trying to catch it.

"Ugh..." Greia suffered a light injury to his elbow and took the coin. Nano, who was looking through Greia's clothes, was silent and heard the words of the other villagers.

"He was tricked again, that kid is so easy to trick." one of the residents is whispered to the other residents

"Yes, he is very naive, maybe I will trick him too" answered the resident with a chuckle.

Nano just listened to their words but didn't know why they did this because he didn't know about fraud.

In the evening, they returned to their house bringing 1 piece of hard bread for 1 silver.

"Sorry Nano... I think we can only eat 1 of this bread, but can we fill it until tomorrow?" Greia looked at the bread before smiling at Nano.

"..." Nano wanted to question the incident but he decided not to ask Greia who was still smiling at him, which made Nano question himself as to why he was still smiling even though something like that happened to him.

Nano looked at Greia who was asleep after eating the hard bread and still smiling even though bad things happened to him, making Nano want to understand what made him keep smiling.
