Chapter 11 - The Girl in the Dungeon

Level after level I descended.
Some levels were just a simple map with loads of monsters-the easiest map and my favourite one- but there were many others with hidden traps and monsters, beasts with extremely dangerous abilities or deathly environments.
I encountered all sorts of creatures, ranging from aggressive orcs, to invisible firebreathing lizards and even sharks that can petrify other lifeforms.

Fortunately, I managed to challenge and defeat all these obstacles, and had now descended almost 50 levels since Ogre Village.
When looking at my Status, it was truly God-like.

Right now, I was in the 50st floor.
But I was anxious.
I had already walked around for a long while on this floor, but I haven't seen any monsters or traps.
Then, I turned a corner and saw something I didn't expect.
It was a large door.
The door was about 20 meters (64 ft.) high and was completely black, with a silver-coloured seal in the middle of the door.

I slowly approached it and cautiously stretched out my hands.
When I touched it...

"KKKIII"

A long and highpitched screaching filled the cave as the door slowly swung open.
I didn't know what was inside, so I activated [Shadow Step], put on my hood to feel more secure and walked inside.

I entered a large cave.
It resembled a royal hall, but didn't send forth such a feeling, as the decorations and pillars inside were all crudely made.
It was either made by someone who stopped mid-way, or did it to mock something or someone.

Roughly shaped candels were lit by magic and illuminated the dark hall.
In the distance I saw something, so I walked closer.

It was a throne.
Although it was a throne, ugly faces and drawings were all over it.
Then, I saw who was sitting on the throne.
It was a demon girl, looking about 19 years old, with golden horns on her head and grey eyes. She had a gorgeous face and slender neck, and she was wearing a long, black robe that reached her ankles. Yet, she was barefooted and she looked as if she didn't know where she was.
I wanted to look at her Status, but for the first time ever, it didn't work.
So I looked at her magic flow instead.

It had a beautiful blue colour, but around her heart, there was a black mist mixing in with her magic power, slowly spreading through her body.

Suddenly, the woman rose up and gathered magic in her hands.
Then, she randomly shot some ice arrows into the hall, but they all missed their mark.
