"I can't believe your making me do this" She stood sports bra and black bike shorts with a white athletic sports jacket
"I didn't even pack sneakers, how'd they get in there" they stood in front of a mountain, Nate with a smile on his face as if he was a little puppy about to go on a walk ready to go
Charlotte already looked exhausted staring at it. This is not what she'd deem a fun vacation activity, she pictured a day at a spa or a tour of the island. But instead he stuck her on a ferry towards an island with a mountain with many other people already making their way up
"I packed them for you, come on I love hiking" He took her hand squeezing it and adjusted his backpack handing her water
"Seven months ago, maybe I'd be fine with it. But now, I feel like my mobility skills are limited" she looked to her swollen stomach and then back to him shaking her head
"It's safe, I checked with Dr.Brown and security is with us. You got me, come on it'll be fun" people stared at them, recognizing them
"It will not be fun, don't expect fun. My thighs will chafe, feet will blister, I'll get heart burn and I will want to kill you" she smiled at him freshly and he patted her shoulder
"Come on Bartlett, have faith in yourself. The lacrosse champ? You got National records" she looked at him and scoffed
"I wasn't seven months pregnant while playing lacrosse. It wasn't always seventy degrees outside, the temperature is just gonna raise"
"Come on, have you ever hiked before" she rolled her eyes "Taylor made me go on hikes a lot, as team bonding senior and junior year. That girl loves to hike"
"She the one who said she would 'ride me' to you on FaceTime if I was her husband" Charlotte sucked in her lips nodding
"She was one of my bestfriends on the team, she's fucking insane when it comes to exercise and drinking" she stretched out her arms
"At Serena's wedding, she was a girl on my team the goalie. We were bridesmaids and we took as many tequila shots our body would hold, which lead to drunk karaoke singing I will always love you. We did Celine Justice"
