A throbbing pain in my head woke me up, and I groaned. I tried to move my body but failed. Panicking, I snapped my eyes open and looked around to see my hands and legs tied to a wooden chair.

What the f**k?!

The right side of my face felt sticky and it wouldn’t a genius to know it was blood from the blow that a**hole gave me. I jerked my arms and tried to move out of it, but nothing worked.

“Amber? Are you alright?” I heard Finlay’s fragile voice and saw him sitting on the floor, leaning his back against the wall.

“F**k! My head hurts like bit*h and I’m tied to a chair, otherwise, I’m good.” I bit sarcastically.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t stop him.” He winced, making me frown. “I feel weak.”

“What?” My eyes widened at that.

Finlay feels nothing and if he is feeling vulnerable, then something is definitely wrong.

I ignored the pang in my head as I tried to break out of the ropes but failed. I was more concerned for him than myself because I knew I could get a doctor for myself, but I couldn’t do anything for Finlay if something happens to his soul.

“It must be the injection.” He mumbled.

“Where are we?” I examined the room and searched for something to get out of.

“In the castle’s dungeon.”

My eyes wandered around the concrete small brick wall room with no window and only a small iron cell door in front of me

My eyes wandered around the concrete small brick wall room with no window and only a small iron cell door in front of me. There was nothing in the room except for a little lantern that did a poor job of lightening the room, a chair on which I was sitting in the middle, and cuff chains on the other side of the room.

Yup, I’m definitely in a dungeon.

“How long was I out for?” I asked, still yanking my hands from the rope.

My skin was red from the friction and it ached, but I will not stop until I get out of these.

“About twenty minutes.”

“Did you see the Hoodie guy?” I inquired Finlay, and he nodded.

“Aye, he is...” He paused when we heard footsteps coming down.

Two figures came into my view and stood behind the iron door. Because of the lack of light, I couldn’t see their faces.

“Look who’z awake.” A honeyed voice reached my ears, and my eyes enlarged at the familiar voice.

“Come in front you a**holes!”

“Aye, why nawt.”

The iron door creaked open as a girl in a golden dress (the one I helped her choose) entered and stood in front of me with the Hoodie guy.
