31. It's not good to have Fort invited by your mom

The next morning I woke up rather groggy. It was already past school time. I was too tired to go to school anyway. I threw my cover off and realized the weather was turning chilly. November was already approaching. The chill clearly conveyed this message. I quickly slipped into my blanket not ready to get my warm feet cold.

I turned to see Fort not there as usual. Maybe he went to school.
I walked downstairs drowsy and rubbing my eyes vigourasly.

"Hello Mom" It's such a bright sunny morning. A good charming , beautiful, peaceful -

" Today me yoy and Fort will go out together and have a day out!"

- And this is the most pathetic day in the history of days!!

" What the actual fuck!" I squeaked

" Yeah! Your mom invited me to to some office party and to have lunch with you guys." Fort cut in

" Wha... You.. Didnt go to school?"

" Fort said he didnt want to go if you don't " Mom clapped her hands making the dreamy lovey face

"Mom!"

" What I need to know my daughter's boyfriend better!"

" He is not my boyfriend!"

" See Mrs Gem! She breaks my heart!" Fort said faking hurt.

" Hold on you people!!!" I yelled." What the hell is happening someone explain? And what does Fort have to do anything with it?"

" Okay! Listen. We will go out for lunch today to this new fancy restaurant. It's like beautiful and my colleagues friend owns it so he is letting us have a lunch for free. I thought Fort could join us too! I mean he skipped school to be with you!"

" Why dont we make one adjustment? You and me go to the amazing restaurant you are talking of have lunch and have fun and tie Fort to this cupboard and gag him! " I beamed

Mom frowned and crossed her hands.

" How do you do it? " Fort asked

" Do what? "

" I mean how do you!"

" What?? "

" Crack such.. Note such... Lame jokes!" Fort retorted

" For your information I was serious!"

" But I thought you wanted to hang out with me? ... Atleast that's what you said yesterday.." He remarked innocently

Oh whay am I saying! Innocent and Fort can't come in the same sentence.

"Stop arguing you both! I am making breakfast then you both can study or something.. But get ready soon because after lunch you are attending my Office party."

" And what is Fort's role there?"

" He is your date." She stated

" Good joke"

She rolled her eyes with frustration.

" I am serious Flo! "

" First thing- Why do I have to go?
Second thing- Why does he have to be my date?"

" Well.. Because... I want my whole family to be there.You are the only family I have got except your dad. I would want you to come. And Fort is such... A charming young man. He would be perfect for your date! " She clapped

" It's mandatory ?" I asked

" Kind of...Oh come on Flo Don't spoil the fun!What's the harm in him going?" She squealed.
