"Now, we'll take an hour's break for lunch before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya!"

Yuma breathed out and pressed a hand over his drumming heart. The feeling of having first place was... exhilarating, to say the least. It really was like his heart was about to burst out of his chest.

But, somehow, he felt as if there was something else alongside the thrilling feeling. A feeling that wasn't as positive, but he couldn't decipher what it was, "Not like it matters..." He mumbled out, dropping his hand down.

Then, from the corner of his eye, he noticed a rather unusual scene. Todoroki was standing in front of Midoriya, a somewhat scary look on his face. Scary...? It might as well be, judging by the fact that Midoriya looked terrified. The two of them turned around and headed in an opposite direction from the rest of their class.

Midoriya looked really tense, and as much as Yuma didn't wish to get involved with them, if there was a possibility of a fight erupting, he'd rather stop it before it got out of hand. If they really were about to fight, it would be made public about their disagreement. Public meant that Yuma's father would see it.

Yuma would rather not get transferred to another school at that point.

So, as to not get noticed by them, he waited until they were almost out of sight before he went after them.

Yuma passed a sign that said 'Faculty and Student Entrance' and stopped before he reached the entrance. The two boys had gone inside, but he was sure he could hear them from where he was. He honestly felt really bad about eavesdropping, since that was something he didn't like, but he found it to be needed in that kind of situation.

"So... What did you want to talk about?" Yuma heard Midoriya speak. He sounded hesitant in even asking the question. Todoroki said nothing for a few seconds and Midoriya spoke again, "If we don't hurry, the cafeteria will probably be really crowded..." Oh wow... He really sounded confused about what was going on, "Um..."

And then, Todoroki spoke up, "I was overpowered," That was what he said. Yuma even heard Midoriya's small gasp, "So much so that I broke my pledge." His... pledge? Had he meant his left side? The fire? "Iida... Ayatsuru, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Uraraka... None of them felt it. At that last instant, I was the only one who was overpowered. Only me, who had experienced All Might's full power up close."

What...? All Might? Why was he bringing All Might into the conversation?

"What... does... that mean...?" Midoriya asked, sounding more and more hesitant about speaking.

Todoroki answered in a heartbeat, "It means I felt something similar coming from you," There was another small gasp from the other boy, "Midoriya, are you... All Might's secret love child or something?"

To be honest, even though the situation was quite serious, Yuma had almost laughed at that. To hear those kinds of words from the usual stoic Todoroki really was unusual.

"Well? Are you?" Todoroki asked once Midoriya grew silent.

"That's not it!" Midoriya sounded panicked, "I mean, even if I was, I would say I wasn't, so I don't think you'd believe me, but anyway, that's not how it is..." he rambled on, just further digging himself into a hole. That's not how it is? So there is something? They are connected in some way? "In the first place, let me ask you something... Why do you think that about me...?

"Since you said, 'that's not how it is,' that means there's a connection between you two that you can't talk about, right?" Todoroki asked.

Bingo. They both caught onto that little slip of tongue.
