Luciana POV

I cleared my throat as I entered the secret underground for the meeting with my father and those who were against the king. They were all discussing when I entered the place. "What did I miss?" I questioned and took my seat at the end of the table.

"You missed this," My father pointed at a new face.

"Oh, I see. Candice, you are here." I clicked my tongue and eyed her from her head down to her legs. "Who bought you here and why are you here?"

"I came to have revenge against Gabriella." She announced and I smiled because I finally found someone who hated Gabriella just as much as I did. "You helped her and that got my brother exiled from the Castle."

"Yeah, I did." Saving Gabriella was all a plan. The girl was part of my plan and getting rid of her in such an easy way wasn't going to help with my revenge. I needed Slade to hate Gabriella and saving her From a mindless accusation like Gerald's was all part of my plan.

"Your stupid brother was in the way of my plan so I had to step up and help her. You have a problem with that?" I glared at her when I saw the accusation look on her face. I loathed being looked down on or getting disrespected by people who needed my help. "If you are here because you want to get revenge on Gabriella, I'll help you but you need to give me the respect I deserve, or I'll get rid of you." I threatened through gritted teeth.

"I am sorry. I am just emotional about my brother." Candice bows her head in apology.

"Good," was all I responded with because I had no business with her brother who couldn't keep it in his pant and went after a Royal slave.

"How is the plan coming Lady Aneka?" My father questioned Aneka whose face was down.

I had my suspicion about her When Gabriella announced that She was her sister and when I saw her coming out to defend Gabriella, I knew I was right all along. She was truly Gabriella's sister. It's just made my plan smoother and easy.

"I have invited her for a day out so she could trust me," Aneka responded without raising her head.

"Remember it's not a time for the party. Get her to trust you and use her as bait." I reminded her because she was starting to act like a fool which was getting on my nerves. "Except you are truly her sister," I accused.

I had my reasons for that. To find out the truth, you need to push your opponent to confess and when they reach their limit, they would spill all their secrets. That's what I planned to do with Aneka.

"She is not my sister!" She denied. "With all due respect Lady Luciana. Why would I be a sister of a human? I'm a vampire." She admitted but I smelled lies.

"Lady Luciana, my wife is telling the truth. Please don't stress her as she is pregnant. " Xavier, her husband Came to her rescue by reminding me of her pregnancy.

I looked at both of them as they talked amongst themselves. They were suspicious but it was none of my business as long as their business doesn't affect mine. "I apologize, lord, Xavier."

My father informed us all about the newest plan in getting the king but I didn't care about all of that. As long as I have Slade, I don't care about anything else. Call it an obsession or any word you can describe it with but it was the truth. I loved him with all my heart and would do anything to get him.

"I have already spread the rumors among the slaves and very soon, everyone in the Castle will be talking about it."

I smiled as my plans were getting through and I was going to make sure that I win because I hate losing.
