              𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 awkward conversation they had finally reached the junk yard where Lucas and Max were waiting for them.

Baby chose to apply the advice Phoebe had given her and be nice to Max even though Jack (in her eyes) was clearly crushing on her.

They poured their meat on the ground as a voice came from the distance.

"I said medium well!" He yelled as they all looked at him.

"Who's that?" Steve asked looking at the younger kids.

Dustin just looked at Lucas in jealousy.

"It's Max. Max Mayfield." Baby informed as Steve nodded.

"Billy's little sister?" Phoebe asked as Jack and Eileen both nodded.

"Step-sister." The little girl clarified.

Jack, Lucas and the twins crouched behind a car so they could talk.

"You told her?" Dustin asked.

"So what? You told Phoebe" Lucas said.

"So what?" Dustin repeated.

"You wanted to tell her, too." Lucas said gesturing back to Max.

"Why is it that big of a deal?" Jack asked. "She was going to find out soon anyways."

"But I didn't, all right? We agreed not to tell her and to look for Dart."

"Who you conveniently found." Lucas sassed.

"Are you suggesting that I'm lying?" The twin brother responded.

"I'm saying you have a creepy little bond with him." He clarified.

"Yeah, that was before he turned into a demogorgon." Dustin said.

"And you haven't heard from Mike?" Lucas asked the three.

"No." Dustin said as Eileen sighed.

"Or Will?"

"No."

"Hopper?"

"They're all MIA." Baby said to Lucas.

"No one is around." Dustin nodded.

"Why do you think we're with my brother?" Jack asked gesturing towards him.

"Somethings-"

Lucas cut Dustin off. "Wrong. I agree. Which is why we need as much help as we can get."

They all stood up looking through the window and watching the three who weren't with them.

"She didn't believe me anyway." Lucas shrugged.
