Given yourself away
Trusting someone fully
Showing yourself truly
No more hiding
You are vulnerable
Out on the open
They have the gun
Whether they fire it
Or not
Placing your whole life
In someone elses hands
In someone elses trust
Just to feel the rush
Just to see your heart thump
Is it true love?
Or do we just tell ourselves that it is
In fear of discovering the truth
Of knowing they dont love you back
Of knowing in their life
You are meaningless
You have no importance
They feel nothing towards you
They may be just using you
We give ourselves away
Without knowing if we are going to be accepted
Or we are going to stay floating
Waiting for the tide to rise again
To see if this time
We both feel the feeling
