"Are you enjoying your drink, baby?" Lisa asked as she scooted her chair a little closer to yours. "Is it good?"

"Yeah, it's pretty good." You replied as you took another sip of your drink from the cafe through the straw inside of it.

As you took your sip, you felt Lisa wrap her arm around your neck before she tried to bring you closer to her.

But as she tried, you just pulled away and scooted your chair a little closer to the window and a little further away from her.

This made Lisa frown and caused her heart to drop slightly.

But she tried to brush it off, though it wasn't all that easy to do.

"Can I try a sip of it?" She asked.

You nodded and handed it to her, only for your hands to touch.

Usually, you'd love the brush of your girlfriend's hand against yours.

But when she tried to grab it to intertwine your fingers together, you, once again, pulled away from her.

She put your drink back down with a huff before folding her arms over her chest.

"Let's just go home." She said.

"What? Why? I'm enjoying being out."

"Oh, are you? Just not with me, right? Would you rather I just leave?" She angrily asked.

"Lili, what are you talking about? Of course I don't want you to leave."

"Well, it's kinda hard to tell when you keep rejecting my affection! I try to wrap my arms around you, so you scoot your chair away from me so I can't. I want to hold your hand, you pull it away. I bet if I tried to kiss you right now, you'd dodge it."

You lowered your head a little, staring down at your glass wordlessly.

"I don't know what's going on with you. I'm always affectionate with you in public. Why won't you let me now?"

"Because people will take pictures of us and then I'll get more hate!"

"Hate?" She frowned. "What are you talking about?"

That's when you realized she'd been oblivious to the hate that you've been receiving lately.

It all seems to escalate when pictures of Lisa being affectionate with you, you being affectionate with her, or the both of you being affectionate to each other are posted online.

Sometimes, people even send you death threats over them.

And it gets hard to deal with.

"When pictures of us being affectionate in public get spread online, people always send me hate. Sometimes, they send me death threats too."

"Oh, baby," She sadly spoke.

"And sometimes, the things they say get under my skin. They can be so hurtful sometimes."

"I know." She said as she pulled you into her arms.

And this time, you didn't pull away.

Instead, you melted into her.

You didn't care about anything else at that moment other than getting some much-needed comfort from your girl.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I thought you saw." You mumbled.

"No, honey, I've been so busy lately that I have hardly been on social media. I didn't see anything. Trust me, if I had, I would've put a stop to it real quick."

"I'm sorry for rejecting your affection. I love it when you get touchy with me and hold me. It makes me feel so loved. I just feel like I can't take much more hate from people."

She sighed and hugged you a little tighter.

"Don't worry, darling. I'll be saying something to these so-called fans later."

"Lisa, no, you can't." You said as you lifted your head to look at her. "Then people will get angry with you. Can you imagine the things they'll say about you? The articles they'll write about you?"

"I don't care, Y/N! You don't do anything to deserve any hate or death threats and if I have the power to at least shut it down slightly, then I'm going to try to do my best to make it stop."

She hooked her fingers under your chin and put her forehead against yours.

"No one makes my girl feel bad about herself. No one."

"I love you."

"I love you too." She said and kissed you. "Just know that those people hating on you are just jealous of you. Let them be mad. We'll be happy together. There's nothing they can do about it. Because you're my girl and I'll always show you affection."

"And I'll always love it." You smiled as you put your head on her shoulder, eyes locked with hers.

"Do you feel like going home? Or do you want to stay out?"

"I'd like to stay out a bit longer. Can we go for a walk in the park?"

"Only if I get to kiss you and hold your hand while we do so."

"Deal." You grinned.
