"Girl, forget about him and Valentines Day. You and me are going out tonight. You cant back out now, I've already made plans and an Uber is on it's way."

You laugh as you start getting ready to head to a bar in Conroe, Texas.

"It's packed!" You shout, your hand tight around your best friend's as you wade your way to the bar.

"I know!" You make it to the bar and order drinks.

You find an empty seat directly across from the currently empty stage, a guy is getting set up to play tonight.

Within an hour, the live music starts.

"Hey y'all. If you're here celebrating Valentine's Day with someone you love, get out." The guy behind the mic says before laughing. "If you're here to drink, this one's for y'all."

"I wish you'd never walked in
Never sat down
I wish I never told that bartender
Pour another round
Wish you'd never let on
Never leaned in
Never asked you to dance
Hell, baby, I wish..."

You lock eyes with him as you throw back a shot. You smile warmly at him, chuckling when his cheeks hint pink.

"I'd never loved you at all
I wish the whiskey was a little more strong
I wish the jukebox wasn't full of sad songs
'Bout getting done wrong
I wish that I had never loved you at all
Aw when the girl gets gone
Yeah, that's the reason God made honky tonks
Go on and pull another bottle off the wall
You ain't my last call
I wish that I had never loved you at all..."

You and your friend order a couple more shots and throw them back as he finishes his song.

"Here's one my buddy Koe Wetzel and I put out. It's called Love."

He smiles at you then looks away as he starts into the next song.

"To say I have been missing you
Is the worst thing possible I could ever do
And to sleep one more night next to you
Should be out of the question
Don't ask me no question like
If I love you because I don't..."

You start swaying on the barstool with your best friend, laughing together.

"Was it an accident
When a broken heart and a bullet mark is all that she left
To ask if I give a damn, should be out of the question
Don't ask me no question cause

I don't love you
Selfish don't love nobody
And I can't love you
Like you should be loved
I don't love you, selfish don't love nobody..."

"I'm gonna talk to him." You state, downing the next shot before heading toward the stage.

"Hey." You say, smiling warmly at him, leaning against the wall.

"Hi." He grins back, wrapping a chord up. "Y'know somethin', I couldn't take my eyes off you my whole set."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." He looks you over. "Wow."

"I was gonna see if you wanted to grab a drink."

"I'd love to, darlin'."

"(Y/N)." You say, extending your hand.

"Parker." He replies as he shakes it.
