Nandani POV

"You have really beautiful hair, bird,"

He said and I smiled looking at him. I could feel his fingers gently playing, teasing and combing my hair carefully.

"You know, Nandani, I never saw your open hair before the wedding,"

He said and I smiled looking at him through the mirror.

"Really?"

I asked.

"Hnn-hnnn,"

He hummed and left my hair after combing them fine. 

"You have to braid my hair, otherwise it will get messed up in the travelling,"

I said and he nodded.

"Alright,"

He said and started parting my hair in three.

"You know how to braid?"

I asked and he nodded.

"Yes,"

"Wow, when did you learn that?"

I asked and he said.

"I have a little sister who I have seen growing up. She is three years younger than me. She does not have a mother, so she used to ask me to braid her hair almost every day,"

He said and I furrowed my brows.

"She is not your real sister? Right,"

I said.

"Ah, yes, but she is more than my real sister. She is the daughter of my Guruji,"

He said and I turned to look at him.

"Your Guruji has a daughter?"

I asked and he nodded.

"Yes, cannot he?"

He asked and I nervously nodded.

"Yes, I mean, yes, he can,"

And, suddenly he said.

"She is adopted. Guruji found her near the river. Someone abandoned the girl,"

He said and I immediately felt something in my stomach. How could someone abandon a child?

"Oh,"

Though I just managed to say.

He smiled and finished with my braid too.

"Time for the jewellery,"

He said and I felt him hovering over me from behind to get the necklace.

He picked up that huge necklace that had green diamonds and gold. I gulped to see this heavy choker design necklace and when he settled it against my neck, I gasped.

"It is so beautiful. I have never seen anything like this,"

He smiled and pushed my braid aside to say.

"I managed to get this from the other continent,"

He said and I got shocked.

"What? You have links with the other continents?"
