Disney World Dropped Smile
When my family was at Disney World in Florida I had a chance interaction with an employee that affects me even to this day. The resort had a large pool and then inside there was a full arcade. One of our four days my brother and myself were walking through the arcade that was built in a central location between the various hotels when an employee that passed us by made a comment that I think is probably hurtful for others to hear but he said to me "hey you dropped something." I looked down and replied "What?" he responded "Your Smile." I had developed a retraction of any positive attributes, mental, or physical to indicate I was happy. I mean it was Disney world yet I held a vacant or frowning disposition. My reaction was to scowl at the man who made the comment while my older brother next to me just laughed. You would think not smiling even at Disney World would do something to try and get me some counseling but no, nothing was ever done.
