Lawn Care

When I was five or six years old and my family lived at Broken Lane every Spring became a problem because my parents couldn't afford to get the yard mowed. We didn't have money for a mower or even the lesser cost of paying someone to mow it. Logically if you can't pay the bills on the house you live in, you need to drop your vanity and move to a lower cost home. My mother wouldn't even consider it so much so we became homeless from her and my father's ability to not simply downgrade life luxuries. Anyways going back to not keeping up the yard. At that time I had been gifted a pocket knife with small scissors to which once I was made aware the grass couldn't get mowed, I offered to go cut the lawn one blade at a time. My parents objected to it, but honestly after the having to sit for 8 hours with a babysitter that only watched shows that I couldn't understand, but the most menial tasks I had no problem doing. I basically was miserable no matter what I was doing.
