Zhou Cun unsurprisingly received an F. However, he seemed to have taken Yao Chen's words to heart, not arguing against the result but simply thanking them sincerely before leaving.

If he truly understood the good intentions of the mentors, he would likely change his attitude in the subsequent training.

"Where are you going?" Su Qinglan asked quietly as Qin Lu stood up, making space for him.

Qin Lu pointed to the mineral water bottle next to his seat, smiling faintly. "To the bathroom."

"Oh, okay!" Su Qinglan scratched her head awkwardly, watching Qin Lu descend the steps and disappear behind the backstage partition before turning back to enjoy the performance happily.

There weren't many people in the corridor, but due to the long recording time, there were plenty of trainees and staff members coming in and out of the backstage area, so it was normal for Qin Lu's actions not to attract much attention.

Once in the rest area, it was noticeably quieter. You could only faintly hear the next trainee introducing themselves in the studio, but it wasn't as noisy as inside, allowing one to focus better.

He needed a relatively quiet place to think carefully about the current situation and what to do next.

Qin Lu looked at the unfamiliar young man in the mirror. Seventeen was indeed the best age in one's life. He carefully examined this young face, which bore some resemblance to his own youth but was more refined, with lighter eyes that looked like clean and transparent amber under the light.

Very thin, typical of adolescence. According to his memory, the original owner had grown nearly ten centimeters taller in the past year, with his height shooting up too fast for his weight to keep up with the normal proportions.

Everyone's teenage years are a limited time of beauty that will never come again, but now he, as this boy, had the chance to start over again.

What did he do at this age in the past? Probably nothing special. He attended a high school that was not considered elite, but he got along well with his classmates, had many friends, and every day was carefree.

If everything had gone smoothly as he imagined, he might have grown up to be an ordinary office worker, started a normal but happy family, and lived a plain yet warm life.

But life never completely follows one's wishes. The year Qin Lu learned of his parents' departure was the year he entered university, and all the beautiful plans were shattered before they could be realized. During that time, he felt that nothing was meaningful anymore, as if he had lost the ability to perceive happiness, wandering aimlessly for a long time before deciding to pull himself together.

Later, due to not completing university and facing setbacks everywhere, it wasn't until he started to get involved in acting that Qin Lu suddenly realized he could choose to be a completely different person to experience the joys and sorrows he had lost all along.

That's why he knew that being an extra was hard work and didn't earn much money, but he was still unwilling to leave. After finishing work every day, he would quietly watch the actors perform. He learned a lot and gradually developed a great interest in acting, slowly experiencing a long-lost sense of happiness.

He practiced the scenes he watched during the day at home, wrote character profiles, and gradually speculated on the characters' psychology and emotions. From vague understanding to silently judging in his mind, he realized that expressing the character in a different way would be more authentic.

Qin Lu had never been taught by a teacher; he was his own teacher. He could vaguely feel that he had talent in this area, and even felt that his acting skills were gradually maturing and becoming systematic.
