Apart from the small episode of meeting fans at the hospital, Qin Lu and Liao Junchen had no idea what was happening on the internet, and the staff didn't elaborate on it either.

However, Liao Junchen's slightly tense brows finally relaxed, and the atmosphere between them on the way back to the training base was no longer as stagnant as before.

There was some traffic in the city at night, and an inconspicuous black business car blended into the slowly moving traffic. The street lights were already on, and Huayan City was located in the north, faintly visible with mountains in the distance.

Qin Lu looked out the window and noticed a slight mist on the glass. The clouds were thickening, and the temperature was dropping. Soon, scattered raindrops were blown by the wind, hitting the glass.

Summer rains often come without warning, and showers are sudden and quick. The fine ripples quickly formed into droplets and slid down rapidly. The originally clear yellow street lights and the red brake lights of the cars became hazy, like ink stains spreading on rice paper.

The sound of raindrops hitting the roof grew louder, making the interior of the car quieter. When he closed his eyes, Qin Lu could almost smell the tangible dampness, occasionally accompanied by the rumble of thunder.

The front and rear seats of the business car were relatively far apart, and the driver and accompanying staff were not familiar with each other, so there was little communication throughout the journey.

Qin Lu leaned back in his seat, quietly watching the blurred lights outside the window.

The staff occasionally glanced at him through the rearview mirror, speculating on Qin Lu's calm demeanor. Wasn't he actually angry about encountering such a thing?

In fact, Qin Lu didn't think much about any negative issues. When he was a little tired, he wouldn't think too much. Instead, he would empty his mind and think about something relaxing to distract himself, such as how this weather was perfect for sleeping at home.

As he thought about it, most of his worries were forgotten.

So when Liao Junchen asked him, "What are you thinking?" Qin Lu subconsciously blurted out, "Thinking about sleeping."

Liao Junchen: "..."

Qin Lu felt a little embarrassed and touched his nose, explaining slightly, "Uh, it's just that when it rains outside, I usually think about taking a nap. It feels more comfortable?"

A hint of amusement flashed in Liao Junchen's eyes. "I see."

Others might think that Qin Lu was bold, but Liao Junchen didn't think that today's events had no impact on Qin Lu's mood at all. But he didn't want to say it, so he wouldn't ask. Liao Junchen paused, then reached into his pocket.

When Qin Lu saw the fruit candy handed to him, he was taken aback.

Liao Junchen succinctly said, "Given by the team doctor before going on stage. There's one left. Want it?"

He glanced down at the candy. "It's not strawberry flavored."

Qin Lu took the candy, smiled and blinked, shaking his head. "Misunderstanding, I'm not particularly fond of strawberries, I'm just not picky."

The pineapple-flavored fruit candy began to melt, and Qin Lu usually didn't eat much candy, so the taste of artificial flavorings was quite strong.

But as he wiped the mist off the car window with his hand, he did feel a little better.

The driver turned on soft music, and after about fifteen minutes, Liao Junchen noticed that Qin Lu had fallen asleep.

He paused for a moment, then silently smiled, closing his eyes too.
