Chapter 24 🌙

"I'm sorry but Kakashi's not here, I'm his substitute. Team Kakashi will now be taking you back to the leaf." Yamato sensei says as he walks out of the hideout's hallway and into the sunlight where an explosion occurred earlier today.

All of my teammates are now outside and looking up where I assume he's standing. I would go outside but I don't want to, hearing his voice reminds me of how much of a nervous wreck I️ can become sometimes.

So, I opt to stay in the hallway, in the shadows, where I feel stable and safe for now.

"Team Kakashi will now be taking you back to the leaf." Yamato sensei announces as he looks up at the Uchiha. I gulp nervously and lean against the wall basically hugging myself out of nerves.

"Team Kakashi huh?" I hear his voice ask. "Where is she?" He bluntly asks making my entire body tense up and my heart drop. Suddenly Naruto, Sakura, Yamato and Sai are all looking at me.

Some seeming more confused then others at my current position. I mean looking terrified is not an everyday look for me.

"She's not here." Yamato sensei says, lying straight through his teeth when he notices my pleading eyes. Naruto furrows his eyebrows and points at me "What? Haru's right there! That's who you're talking about right?" Naruto asks and my eye twitches.

Oh he's so paying for that later! I sigh and zip up my cloak completely up to my neck and stuff my hands in my pockets. Whatever, I'm going to be exposed later anyways.

I slowly walk out of the hallway and into the sunlight, not daring to even spare a glance at Sasuke who I'm pretty sure is staring at me. "What's up with you?" Naruto asks, eyeing me weirdly as I glare furiously at the floor.

I don't say anything, my actions obviously brining out the suspicion in Yamato sensei. Yamato looks back at Sasuke to find him staring directly at me.

'Interesting' he thinks to himself as he watches us. Suddenly Sai pulls out a sword, Sakura reacts by screaming at him and the other two just look at him cautiously.

"So he's my replacement huh? Some soft one has once again joined up. He said that he wanted to protect the bond between Naruto and me." Sasuke says stoically. I don't move an inch as I️ look straight down at the floor, really finding anything better to look at then him. My heart is beating so fast I seriously don't know how I'm still up and okay at this point!

"My classified mission was indeed to go through with the assassination of Sasuke uchiha. But I've had a enough of orders. Now I want to act on my own beliefs. I think Naruto will get me to remember my past emotions." Sai says seriously.

I scoff, now getting a bit bolder and looking at the wall of rock directly in front of me. "Someone please help me forget my past emotions." I sarcastically remark with a whole lot of bitterness in my voice.

I try completely ignore the obvious stare I'm receiving from the Uchiha and start to flutter my eyesight around nervously. Yamato looks at me curiously, beginning to piece the puzzle together.

"I don't know you, but there must be some reason as to why Sakura and Naruto pursue you so desperately. They don't want to severe they're bonds with you. They're giving it their all to secure those bonds. Sasuke I may not undersand it, but you should." Sai continues strongly.

I glare even harder at those words. These idiots.

"Yeah I did understand. That's why I severed the bonds." Sasuke bluntly replies. I stop myself from laughing at Sakura and Naruto's faces and rubbing it in. I was right, they were wrong.

"I have different bonds. Bonds of hatred with my older brother. Numerous bonds mislead oneself and weaken the most important desires."

Yeah, just stomp on my heart some more will you? I'm fine with it.
