Reny stayed late the following night and I think it was because here was better than where ever elsewhere he went.
The top of my house has a small veranda that no one really uses any more, it's quite dirty and damp.
Early today I thought I heard his voice but he never came to my room so I thought it was nothing. It was only late in the night did he come into my room, my mother standing behind, both telling me he had a surprise.
He carried me up the small stairway, half tripping before opening the door out to the veranda.
There were fairy lights. Food. Pillows and blankets. He laid me down, threw a couple blankets over me before settling down himself.
We ate food and stared at the stars, the best part being he did it simply because he could not for my dying body but just because he could.
We named a group of stars together for no real reason besides the fact it looked like a donut, surprising well shaped too.
It was named Tephy, I think that was the brand of donuts that he liked.
I can see Tephy from my window. It's comforting. This sounds cringe but I'm wondering if he's staring at it too.
