Kate's POV

"Ready to go Lady Kate?" Thor asks, picking up my suitcase. I nod as I walk over to him.

I said goodbye to everyone already but turn back and wave one last time. Thor wraps an arm around me and we're sucked up into a rainbow of lights.

"Welcome to Asgard." Thor smiles. "This is Heimdall, my best friend." He introduces me to the man with the big sword.

"It's nice to meet you." I smile, he nods his head.

Thor leads me through the village and to the palace, showing me where everything is.

"Thor! The All-father requests your presence." A woman runs up to Thor wearing armor. She eyes me and gives Thor a confused look.

"Lady Sif, this is Lady Kate. She will be staying in the palace until she is ready to go back to Midguard." Thor smiles and we greet eachother.

"Are you a warrior?" She asks.

"No, I used to be but.. Not anymore." I keep things simple and she nods.

"Well if you're looking to train, I'm usually around here somewhere." She smiles at me before walking away.

Thor leads me to a large open room and I see a man sitting in a large golden throne.

"Father." Thor speaks.

"My son." The man stands and walks toward us with his scepter in his hand. "Who have you brought with you this time?"

"A friend from Midguard. She's one of the Avengers." He explains.

The old man narrows his one eye at me. "And what abilities do you have?"

"None, your majesty." I say, unsure of how to address him.

He just nods and looks at Thor. "You may show her to the guest room. Bring her to Frigga for some proper attire."

I suddenly feel self conscious in my shorts and T-shirt and look down as I follow Thor.

"Don't mind him, he can be a bit rude sometimes." Thor says. "Odin has always been harsh to outsiders."

He knocks on a door and it soon opens to reveal a beautiful woman with her long blonde hair in a braid behind her. Her eyes widen and she embraces Thor.

"I've missed you, mother." He smiles, hugging her back. "I have a favor to ask of you."

"Of course you do." She laughs. Thor steps aside and she makes eye contact with me. "Thor, you didn't tell me you had found a maiden." She smiles at me, taking my hand.

"Oh, no, we're not.." I look at Thor. "We're just friends."

Frigga smiles at me. "Right, then let's get you some clothes."

She dismisses Thor and leads me to her huge closet full of dresses and armor. She hands me a beautiful baby blue gown that has a slit going up my left thigh. I try it on and she cheers in approval.

"I'll have someone brings a few more gowns to your room for you." She smiles, showing me around the castle and I thank her. "How long have you and Thor known eachother?"

"Only a few months really. I was dating this guy Tony but things kinda got a little bit crazy.. I needed a break from everyone so he offered to bring me here." I explain.

"I see." She sighs. "I had a feeling that you were troubled. So who's the one causing this mess?"

"Well there's Steve, he and Tony have been hashing it out for the past few months. He's really great, easy to talk to-"

"That's not who I'm talking about." She smiles at me. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "I was raised by witches. I have the ability to read emotions and minds along with many other powers but I can tell that neither of the two men you mentioned are who's on your mind."

Wow. She's good. "Well.. There's also Bucky.. But he's my best friend."

She raises her eyebrows and turns away from me. "The best relationships start as friendships." We arrive at a room and she opens the door for me. "This is where you'll be staying. Feel free to wander around in your free time. I'll send someone for you at dinner time." She says and I nod before she walks away.

Steve's POV

"See what you did?" I yell at Tony. "This is all your fault."

"My fault?! If you hadn't gone against the rules and made out with her none of this would've happened." He huffs.

"I don't recall that being against the rules." I cross my arms.

"Stop!" Natasha yells at us. "This is exactly why she left. You two don't know how to control yourselves!"

Tony and I exchange a glance before both looking down.

"Dinner's ready." Clint yells from the kitchen. We all make our way to the table and take our seats before digging in.

Loki's POV

I walk into the dining hall to see Odin, Thor, and my mother joined by an unfamiliar face. I take my usual seat at the table before dinner is served.

"Loki! Have you met Kate?" Thor booms, turninghis attention toward me.

"I assume she's the broad sitting beside mother." I sass, not very interested in outsiders.

"She's here from Midguard." He explains. I don't see what makes her so special. "She's an old flame of Stark's." Now this entertains me.

"Is that so?" I ask, a devilish smirk appearing on my face. I stare at her as she talks to my mother but she doesn't seem to notice or care. "I don't believe we've met." I speak loudly to get her attention. "I'm Loki, brother of Thor."

She nods at me and turns back to my mother to continue their conversation. I furrow my eyebrows. How could she be so rude? I'm royalty!

I observe her throughout dinner, trying to read her mind but I can't get in. It's as if someone is blocking me. I look to my mother to find her staring at me and shaking her head. I slightly roll my eyes and finish eating my dinner.

"Loki." My mother speaks. "Would you mind escorting Katelyn to her her quarters?"

"Of course not." I fake a smile. I nod towards Kate and she follows me through the halls.

"Your mother told me about you." She speaks carefully from behind me. "She said you're a lot like me."

"And in what ways am I like you, might I ask?" I ask, the sass clear in my voice.

"Well we both have trouble trusting people. We've been through hard times that has traumatized us. Neither of us really had the childhood we deserved." She explains, stopping as we reach her room. "Thank you for walking with me." She smiles softly, I just nod.

She turns and walks into her room, leaving me there to wonder what on Asgard she has been through for mother to compare her to me. I stare at the door, mesmerized by the woman on the other side of it, until I decide to retreat to my room.
