CHAPTER 8 DUECES

You broke my heart in two
And took me like a bet,
with all you put me through
I have so many regrets.

To lose you was worth it,
although I wasn't sure,
it seemed to make me happy,
but still so insecure.

We always said Forever
we would take it to the end
never give it up
but this time my heart couldn't mend.

It cut so deep into me

but when you did it, then you lied

but now all we have
are memories from the past.

Chapter 8

She pulled up to the house and saw his car parked outside. She took a deep breath and walked in. She opened the door and there was music coming from the basement which meant he was definitely here. She wasnt sure if he knew she was gone because he was never there at night anyway.

She walked into the kitchen and poured herself some apple juice. She sat at the breakfast bar thinking about what she would say if he questioned her. Since he was preoccupied she decided to take a shower before she started packing her stuff.

Des walked upstairs, she got undressed and put her hair up and walked into the bathroom. She turned on the water and relaxed in the heat and the steam. Shawn still didnt notice she was home. See thats exactly why she is leaving he never shows any interest in her.

Finally finished with her shower she wrapped herself in her robe and sat on her bed. She turned the tv on and lotioned her body as she watching Once Upon A Time. The door opened and Shawn stood in the door frame.

"Where the hell was you at. Huh?"

She thought to herself "Here we go"

"Yea, I wasnt here" she said with a smug look on her face

"You trynna be smart bitch, I know that. Where you was at tho. A nigga came home nothing was cooked and the bed empty."

"Why do you care?" Des asked

"Man if you dnt answer me"

"Ok you want the truth Shawn"

"Yeah come on with it" he responded

"I was exactly where I wanted to be, and thats where Im bout to go"

She stood up and threw on some sweat pants and a vneck yellow top.
