Xavier's POV

"Love lets go and buy more shoes"Iris yapped out but my focus wasn't on her. It was on my mate. The mate that I treat like shit.

The same one I took away from her place . What I basically did was kidnap her and make her a slave. I watched as she got treated like shit and I did nothing but watch

Instead of loving her and giving her the world I took everything away from her.

What kind of a mate am I. I never even waited for her. For fucks sake I got engaged to some other shewolf not thinking about my mate but can you blame me.

I've spent centuries waiting for her but she never came and when I least expected it I bumped into her.

"Are you even listening!"

"Shut the fuck up Iris and learn your place"

"Xavier you're embarassing me"

"Son stop raising your voice all the servants are watching"

That ,everyone ,was my mother who spoke. The same one that gave life to me.

Holding back my lycan was the most difficult thing I've ever done. Because of her my mate was embarassed and nearly killed. Her hatred for her is so immense that it sickens me.

I snarled at her and she took a step back

"Why did you do it mother!"

"Because that human lied to me"

"And what did she lie about that made you give her such an inhumane punishment!"I growled

"I told the slave to be my personal servant and she said no claiming to work directly under you !"she yelled

Iris cowered at her tone but I didn't even flinch

"She was telling the damn truth for heavens sake how dumb can you be mother!"

"Dont talk to me in that tone I am still Queen!"

"I am King, mother, and your status no longer holds any power at all! You are not allowed to do or command anything without my say!"

"I am your mother and I am still Queen!"

"Enough mother . Your time of reign is over . Get that through your thick skull. You can't control me anymore"

"Its because of that human girl. That's why you're acting like this huh. You are rude and tough headed. You are not the Xavier I knew!"

She always did this. Trying to guilt trap me whenever she wasn't getting her way but I had had enough

"Leave the girl out of this!"

"No I wont. Because of her your father doesn't listen to me anymore"

Why is Father being brought into this. All he did was defend Natalia but why would he do that. He's always been so harsh and cruel so why did he defend Natalia

"What has father got to do with this!"

"The human must die Xavier!"

My fist landed on her jaw before I could think of the consequences

"Mine "I growled out.

Iris fled and the servants dispersed quickly in that within a minute nobody was in sight.

"The girl is your mate!"Mother laughed sadistically

"Yes she is . What are you going to do about it?"

"Its not what I'm going to do but what your father will do!"

"What do you mean?"

"Your human girl was reborn"

"Reborn. Stop spewing nonsense mother and get out of my sight"

"Be careful son otherwise you too will loose her again"

"Leave mother"

"Maybe this time I'll end her for good"

"Stop!"

"I pity both you and your father so much you know. You always end up knowing how much something is worth once you loose it."

And with that she walked away.

I didn't waste time,I rushed towards the direction my father went with my mate.

It was one of the guest rooms in his private part of the castle.

When I walked in I was frozen for a minute.

I watched as my father ran his fingers through my mate's hair. My MATE. He whispered something to her and placed his vile lips on the corner
of her mouth

"My Nerea"he whispered.

That was it.

"MINE"
