*Mari

While we were talking to Naomi about what happened between Indigo and I. I was looking around and spotted the boy who delivered me that cheesecake that day. I stopped talking cuz I ain't know what to do. Didn't know if he noticed me or did I just notice him.

I squeezed Indigo's thigh so she could look at me. I guess she thought I was tryna be nasty so she smacked my hand away. I put my hand back on her thigh and squeezed it again. Indigo turned and looking at me.

"You alright baby??" She asked

"I see the boy who gave me my last cheesecake..." I said and her eyes widened

"Where bout??" She asked looking around

"He has on that blue bottom up with the light jeans at the 3rd table to the left..." I told her

She faked like she was yawning and she turned around. She was looking for a minute then turned around.

"Baby that's Zoe..." she said looking at me

"There's now way that's Zoe..." I said looking at her

"Babe that is Zoe..." she said

"She looks different..." I said

"Let me let them know..." Indigo said going into her pocket

(For those who don't remember. Zoe is in the first book she was the "friend" who pressured Indigo into going to the party where she met Mari. She also was the one who was at the restaurant who had her hand on Mari's thigh)

Indigo opened her phone and she started texting. After she finished texting she put her phone on the table face up. I looked at her and she was looking at me.

"You okay??" She asked grabbing my hand and I nodded
"You sure??" She asked

"Yeah I'm sure..." I said with a small smile

She grabbed my face and pecked my lips twice. She pulled away and kissed me. Since Naomi convinced all of us to try this sushi she liked we did. The sushi she made us get wasn't bad like the one Sanjay had me trying.

"This actually wasn't that bad..." I said looking at Naomi

"I told you..." she said looking at me with her tongue out

"Mari's right..." Liyah said eating another one

"Y'all can't just try one sushi and say all are nasty. You gotta try multiple..." she said looking at us

Indigo didn't try it cuz she was gone throw up and we didn't need that.
The man finally came out to cook our food in front of us. The man did the fire thing and Naomi almost got her lil curls fried tryna record. He continued cooking the food while we joked and had a good time. He put our food on our plates and we started eating.

"Mari mom said she was coming down in 2 weeks..." Aaliyah said looking up at me

"Why she ain't tell me??" I asked looking at her

"I don't know. She told me this morning. I forgot to tell you cuz it slipped my mind..." she said eating some of her food

"I'll call her later..." I said eating some food

After eating, Indigo paid for everybody and they gave us a fortune cookie. While leaving we had to pass by Zoe.

"Long time no see Zoe..." Indigo said walking up to her

Zoe had a surprised look on her face as an she didn't expect us to know who she was. She looked at me then looked down at my belly. She did this twice before she acknowledged Indigo.
