"Why you closed your eyes and flinched??" I asked looking at her

"Nothing..." she said looking down

I lifted her face by her chin making her look at me.

"Why??" I asked again

"I thought you was going to hit me..." she said softly

"Why would you think that??" I asked

"Cuz you had this look in your eye, you was upset then I seen your hand raise so I thought..." she said as tears filled her eyes

"Baby just cuz I'm upset doesn't mean I would hit you..." I said looking in here eyes

"I know..." she said softly while looking down as a tear fell

"Baby don't cry..." I said grabbing her face and wiping the tear

"I love you too..." she said before I pulled her into me and hugged her tightly

She moved her head and buried it in my neck as I held her.

Most people don't know but before Mari and I started fucking around, she was in a abusive relationship. Not all the time sometimes when somebody raise their voice you'll see her flinch a bit. It's better now but before it was bad. That bitch she was with at first I would've never be anything like that. Yes, her and I might getting into it and throw licks at each other but I wouldn't put my hands on her for no reason.

I unwrapped my arms from around her and I thought she was ready to let go.

"She had to go handle some business, she'll meet me later at home..." she said
