The expression plastered onto Brea's face was priceless and unfortunately caused everyone's else to meet mines since she'd frozen mid- sentence of her lecture to them.

She clears her throat, clapping her hands to get the attention of the fellow workers. " With that being said I should have all those stories published and send in by Monday morning at eight, not later!" Brea's work voice had been different from her friend voice. When it came to work she never played around and it showed when all the fellow workers wasted no time getting straight to work.

Brea takes a straight shot towards me. I lean against the door entrance with my left hand on the left side of my belly. I felt nothing, I guess baby girl was sleeping peacefully after the night she'd put me through.

" What are you doing here ? Haven't you put in a notice already... you're going to be a mother in two week or less. It's not best for you to be here." Brea semi whispered, edging us out of the room, closing the door behind her. " Listen I know you said it'll have to be my last day, yesterday because of my condition but I'm fine." Brea shakes her head side to side with her long, luscious jet black bundles moving.

" I can't have that."

" What about my story ? I've written half of it. I just need to get in my work zone for thirty minutes and I'll be out your hair." I bite the side of my bottom lip, hoping she'll allow me.

" Chi.."

" Please." I begged him with a pleading expression. " All I need is thirty minutes and that's it. Plus I'm here to put in my two week notice." I held up the sheet of paper with all my information filled out so she could see I was serious. I watched as she shrugged to make a decision.

" Chi, you're the best at what you do. You know it, I know it and everyone here knows it." She gestures behind her at the room she'd just come out of. " But that's a high risk for me and everyone else, including yourself Chi. I'll quickly go get your information for your login and you can send it all over to me on my Gmail. I promise to take a look at it and keep you updated boo."

I felt so defeated. I had felt hot all over. I convinced myself that it wasn't a big deal and bit back the tears.

I clear my throat, taking a deep breath. " Umm, ok."

" Ok. Just wait out here and I'll get back to you." Brea reaches in for a hug and of course I couldn't stay mad at her for long. " Thank you."

" Welcome and always." Brea turns around heading into the room, closing the door behind her.

I settled on just leaning on the wall, pulling out my phone and seeing all that was new on Instagram since I had nothing better to do.
