The two sisters sat on the couch after eating Chinese food, watching Legally Blonde.
But they weren't really paying attention to the movie, they were too busy talking.
"I mean come on!"
Sadie giggled talking to her sister
"You cannot say Benny didn't have any say in our names! Kelly, Katie and Sadie?! It sounds like a bad band from the seventies!"
"Or the title of a bad sitcom"
"What does that say about him that he gave his only son-"
"-that we know of."
Katie said as they continued laughing
"That we know of...a girl's name!"
Sadie was still laughing as she laid her head in Katie's lap.
She found this as a moment to explain to Sadie.
"I'm so sorry I haven't been around, I've been so busy with my restaurant in New York and...."
"Katie, don't apologise. I have more family now than I did this time last year when it was just me and my mom. Now I have a brother, a sister AND a whole firehouse for a family."
"I just wish our dad would have told us about one another."
Katie said as she lovingly stroked Sadie's hair.
"About that!"
Sadie sat up
"How come he told you and Kelly about one another, but not me?"
"Oh he didn't tell us! We found out on our own!"
"How?!"
Katie smiled and had to hold back a laugh
"Kelly saw Benny and I in public one day....and assumed I was another one of his hookups."
"What?! Eww!"
"I know!"
The next morning Kelly and Stella came home from shift, finding Sadie asleep on the couch, her blanket on the floor.
Kelly scooped it up and covered her back up, she jerked awake.
"Woah Sades, it's ok, it's just me."
"Oh hey Kel..."
"Did you and Katie have a good night?"
"Yeah"
She rubbed her face while still half asleep.
"Where is she?"
"I let her have my bed."
"You could have slept in our bed."
She sat up looking between Kelly and Stella.
"After what I witnessed in the kitchen yesterday?! No thank you!"
