Dear diary,

I turn 10 in a few days. I'm really excited about that. Bucky and I have been on the run for a really long time. It feels really good to finally have peace.

Bucky is more than my best friend, he's my everything. I love him so, so, so much. He says he loves the most, but I know it's not true.

My days have gotten better, but my nightmares get worse. It sucks. I also grew to 5'6, guess the serum still makes me grow. Bucky and I are about to go to the store, but this is also the last page in my journal. He says he'll get me another one, and I believe him.

-Ceily Barnes

Cecelia put her diary under her mattress and walked into the kitchen. Bucky was standing in the kitchen as Cecelia walked out of the room.

Cecelia came running over, and she jumped into a hug. He picked her up with a smile. "You're in a good mood." He commented as he put her back down. Even though she didn't weigh a whole lot, she was growing like it was no one's business...height wise.

"I'm always in a good mood." Cecelia said as he had her sit down. Her hair wasn't a mess, but he needed to do something with it.

"Yeah, I bet." He said as he grabbed hair ties and a hair brush.

"Alright I've got a list." Bucky said taking it out of his pocket. He handed it to her and she read it.

"Do we have to get plums?" Cecelia asked, she hated them. Bucky made her have fruit or a vegetable with every meal, and whenever he had plums she hated them. Bucky liked them though.

"No one said you had to eat them." Bucky said as he started to brush her hair out.

"You say I have to eat them." Cecelia laughed, he put a small smile on his face.

"I say you have to eat fruit." Bucky corrected her as he started to put two french braids in. He didn't know why he was because he was going to end up putting a hat on her head.

"Then when we run out of the fruit I like you make me eat that." Cecelia said, Bucky watched as she read through the list. He knew the exact face she was making when she was.

Her face would be focused. Her nose was slightly scrunched, and her tongue stuck out a little bit.

"Anything to add?" Bucky asked as he finished her first braid. Cecelia sighed as she continued to read through it.

"No." She said, Bucky nodded his head before starting the other side.

"Good, because I already counted out all the money." Bucky said, Cecelia crossed her ankles as he continued on her hair. Cecelia would complain when he did her hair for her, but she secretly loved it. He was always so careful not to hurt her, and he was soft with her. It made her feel almost at ease, it was like home. She never expected home would be a person.

Bucky continued to do her hair, and then once he was finished he put it in a low bun. When Bucky did her hair, he felt like it was almost a responsibility. Like a fatherly responsibility, to take care of your own child. It wasn't just hair, it was tucking her into bed at night, waking her up, reminding her of things to do.

"Alright, doll. Put your shoes on and let's head out, grab your hat to." He said. Cecelia walked over to her bedroom and took out her backpack. She grabbed her hat, and placed it on her head. Then she grabbed socks and shoes, and put them on.

She walked out to see Bucky putting his gloves on. Cecelia walked over to him and took his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers. They walked out of their apartment then going out into the town.
