Damien 🥀

*1 week later*

"What the fuck are you doing Cade?" Lex grunted at Cade, who is beating Lex's ass in the video game on the massive screen.

Both of them are sitting on the couch and playing against each other. A game where they hunt each other down and fire bullets in the mountains with nothing as cover except trees, holes, and rocks.

Cade has shot Lex's avatar and every time Lex revives his health, Cade shoots at him again and knocks him down, not fully killing him but not even letting him go. Not that easily. It's like, Cade is taking out his personal frustration on Lex.

I sit on the couch between them, the screen lights is illuminating the dark screen room of my penthouse. It's been such a long time since I have played this game. It's been so long to even have this kinda free time with each other. The last time the three of us gathered together to hang out was months ago.

But today, I finally got some free time. This week I worked my ass off to finish the pending works that have been held back since the wedding and even called in future important meetings. Leaving only the basic ones to work from home. I have spent my day and night working handling the business in the past week so I can have my time with Zaria. Now that I don't have any important business coming up, I can give my time to ask Zaria and Thia for forgiveness.

"Restart the game." I say, picking up my remote control. "And this time, we're playing on the same team."

I look at Cade who is wearing a loose white t-shirt and his dark brown hair tousled over his forehead. He huffs but he starts the game again and all three of us engage ourselves in.

Zaria right now is playing with Amelia in the other room with Thia. Lex has brought his daughter for dinner with us tonight.

"Cade, why are you doing this to me?" Lex grunts again when Cade exposed him to the enemy and the enemy terminated Lex.

This is odd for Cade. "Care to explain?" I ask.

He gives me a stern look and says, "I don't bother to answer random oldies."

I almost laugh. Who the fuck is old here?

"As far as your concern goes, I don't see anyone over 30 over here. Last I checked, that wasn’t old."

"Did I tell you I saw a young man holding Zaria's hand and taking her on a brunch date yesterday? He was hugging her, laughing with her and she enjoyed herself too." His tone question yet knowing exactly what he is trying to say. I know he is just trying to get a reaction from me just for his enjoyment but I can’t help it.

My body tenses and I immediately stand up with a force, anger churning up in my stomach and burning like an acid in my core. Whoever dared to touch my wife will not be able to see tomorrow's sunrise.

"Oh for God's sake, she is my twin sister! I am allowed to take her wherever I want. Mind your own fucking business." Lex shouts at Cade.

My body stance relaxed when the pieces slot together in my mind. Cade is mad at Lex for taking his place in Zaria's life. Cade and Lex used to get along before we found out Lex is Zaria's twin. He is feeling replaced. Kids.

"Both of you need to grow up." I glare, leaning back on the couch. Feeling good knowing that with me sitting between them, no one is murdering no one right here.

“Tell that to that man child sitting beside you, Damien. He is having trouble sharing.” Lex teases with a laugh.

"She only has one brother and that's me." Cade says, pointing his index finger at himself.
