-So, what about it?

Voldemort looked at his Death Eaters, his blazing gaze promising a thousand and one tortures if he didn't hear what he wanted to know. Lucius kept quiet, courageous but not reckless, the others looked at each other, unsure if they wanted to face his anger. Abraxas seemed ready to sacrifice himself when Barty stood up, taking responsibility for the others. The relief was palpable around the table, even though danger still lurked. Voldemort knew he would have to be reasonable, but he wasn't sure he could. He took a deep breath as Barty began the report.

-The attack was carried out by a group of friends living on the borders between France and Luxembourg. Aged 20 to 25, with a difficult economic situation. Their identities have been confirmed and although they appear to have no direct connection to the leaders of their countries…

Barty sent him a genealogy. Voldemort watched him carefully.

-One of them is distantly linked to the Delacour family through his mother. This part of the branch was disowned for no longer having Veela blood strong enough to push for transformation into a magical creature. Also, we have every reason to suspect that Minister Delacour is behind this assassination attempt.

Voldemort tapped on the table, it was already a good start but it wasn't enough. He looked at Barty who thought he understood him because he continued.

-We have already identified the places where the families of these people are, we are awaiting your order for their exterminations. They themselves are rising up against their states, considering that they should have been safe and stopped, not killed as happened. They also requested explanations from the English embassies.

-Explanations… Because they think they deserve them…

Voldemort's aura would have saturated the air if he hadn't known that he would diminish his Death Eaters' abilities by making them drunk with his power. Barty still seemed affected, he had always been one of the most sensitive to her magic. Abraxas and Theodore senior were no strangers, especially since they were the two closest physically to him at the moment.
