Hanna is perfectly content with spending another uneventful summer working as a lifeguard at her local beach, like she has the last summer and the one before that.
Only a few days into the beach season though, Jesse arrives, the seemingly apathetic fellow lifeguard who also happens to sit next to her while on duty. Neither of them expect to get along with each other, and neither of them expect they have anything in common.
But they do.
One is a shared family past neither of them realized they knew. And two is the fact that not only do they save the lives of others, they both need saving themselves.

Review: There's something special about this book that urges you to carry on reading. Hanna and Jesse may look like they're polar opposites but they seem to have a lot more in common then they had thought. So much emotion, depth and love is stuffed into this book which makes it all the more worthwhile and makes it a certain Bucket List Book.
