The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England. Elizabeth is the second of five daughters of a country gentleman living near the fictional town of Meryton in Hertfordshire, near London.

Review: One of the greatest pieces of literature written by a woman and possibly one of the most famous. Each character has different sides to them and Austen unknowingly did a fantastic job of representing the 21st century with this book. Issues that were seen as scandalous and taboo then (the elopement of Lydia and Mr Wickham) are seen as such a bad thing now. Mr Darcy and Elizabeth have such an entertaining love story as well as Jane and Mr Bingley so I highly recommend for you to read this phenomenon. There may be sections where you're annoyed or want to throw the book at the wall but It's certainly a Bucket List Book.
