I Love You More - Hayes Grier Imagine
“Hey,” you said into the phone. It was late Friday night, and you were seriously missing your boyfriend Hayes. He’d been gone for such a long time, and your life really seemed empty without him. He was your everything and you were his. It was such a different feeling being without him. You’d been dating for almost a year and he’d never been away as long as he was for this trip.
“Hey,” he said back. His voice over the phone wasn’t as comforting as it was in person.
“I miss you,” you said, your voice obviously depressed and lacking energy.
“I miss you,” he said back.
“When are you getting back?” you asked him. You asked him this every time he called. You just needed to remind yourself that he’d be home soon.
“Sunday,” he said. You sighed. That was just too far away.
“I know,” you said. Neither of you said anything. You could sense each other’s sadness. “Hayes?” you asked. There was no response.
“Hayes?” No answer. “Are you there?” No answer. The caller ID page said he hadn’t hung up yet.
You hung up the phone.
“Turn around,” a teenaged boy’s voice said, coming from the door to your room. Your eyes brightened and a huge smile crept its way onto your face. You turned slowly, the beautiful boy with long brown hair and blue eyes. A white and light blue snapback was placed backwards on his head and a grey Magcon sweatshirt hung off his shoulders. He looked happier than ever, and you flung yourself onto him. He stumbled backwards, holding you up and squeezing his arms around your back.
“I love you!”
“I love you more!” He yelled back.
