Shrinking - Taylor Caniff Imagine for Ashley

“Aren’t you sharing this room with Carter?” I ask as Taylor kisses down my neck. I’m nervous on the inside but giggling on the outside… his warm lips tickle my delicate skin. He pushes my hair off my shoulder and smiles up at me, mischievously.

“Yeah… so?” he laughs like the cocky boy he is. How could I not love him? He was all I ever wanted in a boy plus even more. I shake my head and pull him back up to my lips so I can kiss him over and over. Taylor starts to lay me back on the bed.

Wait.

Pause.

I’m Carter’s sister, Ashley. He came out to be on this Magcon tour thing and mom (Cartah staahhp) told me to come along for the ride. Not that I had a problem with it. But at the first event, I met this boy named Taylor, Taylor Caniff. I can’t say it was love at first sight… apparently that’s too cheesy… but it definitely was. At least to me, it was. We’ve been dating in secret for around two months now, and we’ve been so lucky that no one’s found out yet. I just hope it stays that way.

Now.

Play.

I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer, breathing in the musky, intoxicating scent that the boy carries with him. His arms run up and down my sides, keeping me calm as he takes over my mouth with his tongue. It wasn’t until his tongue was swirling around mine for the hundredth time that I heard the door open. There was a little bit of laughter and then it all silenced.

Carter.

Taylor pulls away and steps off of me, towards the window. “Oh… uh… hey, Carter,” he says, trying to be nonchalant even though it’s not working. Carter just looks back and forth between us. His face is blank and his mouth gapes the slightest bit. I can’t tell if he’s upset or mad or shocked. He’s probably a combination of the three. Taylor and I don’t know what to do; we just sit there and stare until Carter turns as he hears more footsteps and some hooting. I see all the guys bombarding inside after him and stop when they see me and Tay.

“I… uh… thought you were going to lunch,” I try to say. My voice is small. Carter advances towards me.

“Yeah, we were,” he says, his voice deep. “But we’re back now,” he pronounces the –ck in the word back very clearly. I shudder.

“What’s going on?” asks Johnson. The rest of the guys nod. Carter looks away from me and starts to corner Taylor in the hotel room.

“I just caught this one… with his face all over my little sister.” The guys stare at Taylor in utter disbelief.

“Oh, my gosh!” one yells. And the rest follow, screaming terrible things at the boy. Taylor is shrinking in the corner, and I can tell there are little tears. I’ve never seen him cry. I didn’t even think he did cry. After a minute or so, I can’t take it. I shove through the boys and stand my ground in front of the boy.

“STOP!” I scream. “YOU’RE ONLY MAKING IT WORSE,” fiercely. “He wasn’t hurting me. I allowed him to. We… well we sort of like each other and…” Carter cut me off.

“Like each other?” he asks. His face is slightly more calm as he looks between the two of us. “Are you guys dating?” he asks bluntly. Taylor and I look between each other and then nod silently. His arm snakes around my waist to hold me, and I immediately feel a little safer.

“We’ll go,” says Cameron, nudging the guys to get out of the hotel room. They all pack out, and shut the door leaving me with Carter and Taylor.

“Do you love her?” asks Carter. Taylor nods quickly, keeping his eyes on the floor.

“I’d never hurt her…” he says quietly. Carter nods.

“Look,” he says, quieter, “you can date her. But if you ever come close to hurting her, I swear I will ruin you.”

“Okay,” says Taylor. Carter storms out of the room and I collapse into Taylor’s arms. “It’ll be okay.”
