chapter sixteen - why that?!

"Today, my fellow students, will each have to join two competitions to your interest. There are no magic competitions, this is only about your side interests and talents. Very well, you are dismissed."

As En and I walked out of the classroom, Aqua came up to me and asked, "What competition are you joining?" She asked be with a real smile.

Wait, wait, wait...wasn't she against me? In the corner of the classroom, I spotted East, he was glaring daggers at me. He mouthed, 'Be mean'.

I mouthed back, 'Why?'

He glared again. I just rolled my eyes and I whispered to Aqua, "East told me to act mean to you."

She scolded me because I said East's first name, and I told her, "East only told me his first name."

She changed her mood to embarrassment. "Sorry.."

I just smiled. "Let's go En." We walked out of the class and went to our next subject. Math. Yes! That easy math I finally learned.

It's only 6th grade math! Like algebra and stuff. And, I can't believe we learn these stuff here too!

After school was over, I looked at the wall full of posters.

'Join the Music Competition!'

'Join the Art Contest!'

'Join the Wrestlers on a competition!' Who would pick that? Definitely not me..

There are other competitions that looked great, but I couldn't pick any. If there was a 'Quiz Whizz' competition, I would definitely would have joined. But there wasn't.

A few days after, Aqua was telling me...more like forcing me...to join the music competition. I denied.

She was raged that there was fire in her eyes. I looked at her in a dull way. When I heard the princess and her group passing, princess whispered to mee quietly, "I want to know your real voice, so sing, in that music competition!" And she smiled.

En also agreed. Felt told me that I must, since he heard the princess say that to me.

At the end, I did.

I sighed. I don't know if I can sing, I don't want to embarrass myself!
