I would rather spend time
With you instead of those closest to me,
For my heart beats
Only for you, and if you were
To leave my side, it will stop
Pumping blood for my body
To continue walking in this Earth.
Yet, there's just one problem
With how I feel. It just isn't right.
For someone I've only known
For a day, I already want
To marry you
When I really shouldn't.
I may not see my parents
Nor anyone else that has known
Me my whole life as my top
Priority right now, but
Where it all comes down to,
They've always been there for me.
Yes, my parents are included
As much as I want to distance
Myself from them. But still,
I can't deny that I owe them
With my life because if they
Never got together, I wouldn't exist.
My heart toys with me,
But my mind reasons with me,
And what it says is that
I need to let you go.
