Pushing the one person
That is willing to stand by me
During my darkest days
Is a foolish idea.
One of those days
She may agree with me,
And turn her back
On me, leaving me
To fend for myself.
I wouldn't want that,
For I can't imagine
A life without her,
And before she entered
My life, I was a nobody.
I must be grateful
That she stands by me,
And embrace
That we are together.
Loyalty like her's is rare,
So that's all
The more reason
To cherish it.
