We may doubt our relationship,
Where we feel we must part

We were off to a rough start,
And going forward
Was littered with countless
Instances where we were
Tempted to leave each other,
But we always worked it out
Because the truth is

You always served as this light
To my darkness
Just like I was yours in return
Where we made each other
Better people
Because the truth is

Away from each other,
We are lost in our own minds
In search of guidance
Otherwise we would make decisions
That haunt us for life
Because the truth is

Your light cleanses
The darkness within my soul,
And even though
My darkness may get
To you, your light overpowers it,
So the truth is
We are better off together.
Here we are now,
Happy together
With a bright future ahead
As we keep paving
The road for it,
Keeping in mind
