The Boy Next Door

Chapter 1

Brent's POV

"Mom! Do we have to?" I yell downstairs to her.

"Yes Brent, I'm sorry."

Ever since my mom got a new job in Massachusetts, we have to move. I grew up in this house with my two brothers and sister, Blake, Brice, and Lexi.

We were heading to the airport in less then 30 minutes.

I looked around my room and decided to make one last YouTube video in this house. I grabbed my camera, and pressed record.

"Hey guys! What's up? As you can see, my room is all packed up," I said sadly. "As I told you all in a past video, I was moving soon. Well, today is the day. This is my last video in this house. For everyone in Massachusetts, I hope to see you! Well until next week in my new home, bye!"

I ended the video with that, and put my camera back in a box.

By the time the video was uploaded, it was time to go.

I took one last look at my house, and left.

Melanie's POV

I got a notification on my phone saying that Brent Rivera just posted a new video.

I am such a fan of him and all the Magcon boys.

I watched his video and screamed. My sister, Jessica, told me to shut up and my dad almost had a heart attack.

"Why the hell are screaming like that?!" he yelled at me. I didn't know I was that loud. Oops.

"Sorry, daddy. It's just Brent Rivera," I told him.

"Of course it was about him," Jess complained,"thats all you ever talk about!"

"Shut up!" I yelled at her.

"Girls, stop! I can't deal with all your arguments about girl stuff! It's been hard enough without your mom to help!" he said to us.

He's right. Mom died when I was 10 and Jessica was 8. She only had mom in her life for 8 years.

"Anyway, what's happening with that Brent kid," dad said changing to subject.

"He's moving to Massachusetts!" I said smiling from ear to ear.

Then my dad got a strange loon on his face, which means he's keeping something from me. The same face he made before telling me and Jess about mom.

"What?" I asked. "You're keeping something from me."

"Well...uh... it's just-" he started "Someone just bought the house next door." Jessica said.
