Chapter 14

Brent's POV

I finished texting Mel, and I couldn't wait to see her again tonight.

I was about to jump in the shower, but then Brice walked in.

"Dude!! What the hell?!" I yelled at him. "Privacy much?!"

"Sorry," he says to me. "I just wanted to know what to wear tonight."

"You sound like Lexi," I said rolling my eyes at him.

"Thanks a lot," he said making a pose.

He did have a point. I didn't even know if it's a normal party or if we had to dress up.

"I don't know," I told him. "Let me shower and then I'll text Mel and ask her."

"Damn. You meet her today and you already have her number?" Brice said winking at me. "Nicely done."

I rolled my eyes at him and told him to get out so I could shower.

Melanie's POV

I took a nice warm shower smiling all through it.

I still can't believe that Brent kissed!

Once I got out, it was already 2:30. The party starts at 4:00 so I had an hour to get ready.

When I got in my room, I saw that Brent texted me.

B-Hey. I wanted to know what we should a wear tonight.

M-Dress up. Not like a suit and tie bit like a nice shirt and dress pants.

B-Ok. What color dress are you wearing? I wanna match my shirt with it 😏😘

M-A dark blue dress 😏

B-Ok beautiful. See ya at 4 😘💙

M-Bye 😘😘

When Brent stopped texting, I did my makeup and hair.

I curled my hair again and did more makeup then I did this morning.

I did have eyeliner and mascara. I put on eye shadow that matches my dress. I put on a light foundation and blush then finally put on my favorite lipgloss.

By the time I was finished with my hair and makeup, it was 3:30.

I grabbed my dress that I bought with Jessica at Forever 21.

Dad called me and Jess down because we had to get going. When dad and Sydney picked this place out, they said that we had to be there an hour before the party. That's why we had to leave early.

Dad and Sydney weren't going tonight. No adults were. They said that we were "smart kids" so it's gonna be just us kids.

Jess wore a strapless green dress and just curled her hair and put it in a ponytail. Dad says she isn't supposed to wear makeup, but I saw her with some mascara and foundation.

We were about to drive off when I remembered that we have to drive Brent, Brice, and Lexi.

Jess rolled her eyes when I told her we had to drive them, then went on Twitter.

Brent's POV

Mel and her sister got in the driveway and honked to let us know that they were here.

"Brice! Lexi! C'mon. Our rides here!" I yelled up the stairs to them.

They came downstairs and we got in the car. When I saw Mel in her dress, she looked amazing.

"Lexi," Mel started to say, "this is my little sister, Jessica. I'm pretty sure that she's older then you, but not by much."

"Nice to meet you," they both said at the same time, then laughed.

Ugh. Girls.

The girls kept talking, leaving Brice and I out of the conversation.

I kept looking at Mel in the mirror, and I could tell she was looking at me too.

I smiled and winked at her, and she did the same thing.

Melanie's POV

Brent kept smiling at me which made me blush like crazy.

We pulled up to the lodge and everything looked perfect!

The decorations were up, the food was cooking, and a few people were already there!

I went around to my friends and they all said happy birthday to me and I thanked them.

When I got to the last few people, I saw people I thought I would never meet.

The Magcon boys.
