Brent's POV

Mel went to the bathroom so I tired to figure out what we should do. But honestly, I forgot what we were supposed to do.

I went on Melanie's bag to see if she had written the assignment down.

I found a red notebook with drawings on the cover. It went from 5 Seconds of Summer logo to our names... In broken hearts? Did I make her do this?

I opened her notebook and saw that she had several entries in there, but one caught my eye.

The feeling is getting worse. I've missed him so much. I have more cuts. On both arms. There's too many to count. But Jess and dad don't know. They've seen my mood change in the past two weeks but they haven't talked to me mainly because I haven't talked to them. I just want to be back in Brent's arms so he can help me. This feeling hurts so much. Maybe I don't belong here anymore... If I can't be with him, what's the point? He texted me, but I don't answer at all. It was a terrible feeling seeing him kiss Ashley, but the feeling I have now makes that other one feel better. Does he think I'm a bitch for not answering? Does he still love me? Does he love Ashley more? Well, I still love him. Maybe I deserve these cuts... I want to let go, but I can't. I want him back. This is my fault. I let him go too easy.

Seeing these words written in Mel's handwriting broke my heart. Why would she write this?

She can back in my room and when she saw the notebook in my hand, I saw tears forming.

"Did you read it?" She asked sitting on my bed.

"Only the section where you said 'you didn't belong here anymore' and 'that you deserve those cuts'," I said sadly. "Why would you write this? And why would you think that I would love Ashley more than you?"

"Because I acted like a bitch," she said full on crying. "How can you still love me after not letting you explain? I should have listened..."

Before she could say anything else, I grabbed her face and kissed her.

"There is no one else I love more than you," I told her.

"I love you too," she said connecting our lips together again.
