Chapter 34

Melanie's POV

We pulled into Taco Bell and right when I was going to open the door, Brent said that I had to stay and wait here.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Another surprise. Put the blindhold back on too," he said to me.

"We're in Boston. Someone is gonna think that your kidnapping me," I said.

"It'll only be 5 minutes. I promise," Brent said handing the blindhold to me once again.

"Ugh. Just be quick."

Brent's POV

I walking into Taco Bell and instantly, a bunch of girls surrounded me asking for pictures and autographs.

Once I was done, I went to the counter and said "Pick up for Rivera please." (AN: IDK if you can do this so don't try...)

They handed me two Baja Blasts and tacos then I went back to the car to get Mel.

I know this might sound stupid, but I want to try and recreate our first kiss since she doesn't remember.

I got back in the car and Mel said "I can smell those tacos." We both started laughing then pulled out.

"Can I take this off now?" Mel asked playing with the blindfold.

"Not yet," I said.

I put on the radio back on then Problem by Ariana Grande came on.

"I love this song!" Mel said.

"We're here," I laughed.

"Dammit," she said. "So I can take this off now?"

"Give me 6 minutes," I said.

I took a blanket of the car then put it on the ground. Then I grabbed the Taco Bell bag with the Baja blasts and put them neatly down with 'Stay With Me' playing lightly. Perfect.

Melanie's POV

"Okay," Brent said, "take the blindhold off."

I took it off and saw that Brent had set up a picnic. I hugged him tightly then we sat down.

"This is so sweet, Brent," I said blushing.

"Yeah well I'm a pretty sweet guy," he said winking.

We ate pretty quickly then I was pretty sure I felt a rain drop.

"Did you feel that?" I asked looking up. "If it starts to rain, I can't get my cast wet."

We started to pack up and within a number of seconds, it started down pouring. I wrapped my leg with the blanket and we started to head for the car.

"I had so much fun today, Brent. Thank you so much," I said hugging him again.

"You're very welcome," he said hugging back.

We looked into each other's eyes. It felt like days. His perfect brown eyes. My bright blue not leaving each other's gaze. Before I knew it, we kissed.
