Chapter 25

Melanie's POV

Luke just brushed passed Jessica and sat down next to me.

"Hey baby," he said to me playing with my hair, "how you feeling?"

"Terrible," I said trying to push him away. "Now leave."

Jess had left when this all went down. Good. She doesn't need to see this asshole.

Jessica's POV

After Luke came, I went next door to get help from Brent.

I knocked on the door and Mrs. Rivera answered.

"Hello Jessica. Is there something I can help you with?" She asked me smiling.

"Uh. Yeah. Is Brent here by any chance?" I asked fast.

"Yes. He's upstairs. You can go get him if you want."

I thanked her and ran upstairs to get him.

I knocked on his door and went in.

Brent's POV

I was packing my clothes when I heard a knock on the door.

Jess came in and she looked really worried.

"Brent. I need your help," she said quickly.

"With what?" I asked.

"Luke. He's at our house," Jess aid almost in tears. "I don't know what he's doing, but he was getting near Mel." Just hearing his name made my mind just stop.

I stopped packing and we both ran next door to help Mel.

From outside, I could hear Mel crying for help. Then I heard Luke scream shut up then when I barged in, he slapped her.

"Brent! Help me please! Get him away!" Mel screamed, crying.

I ran up to him, but then he pulled out a gun and pointed it to Mel.

"Hold it! One more step and she gets it!" He yelled.

"Why do that? She's been through enough," I said to him. "Shoot me not her."

"Brent! No! Don't do that! Let him-" she was cut off by a gun shot.

But it didn't come from Luke. I turned around and saw several police men.

Luke fell down dropping Mel, but I was there to catch her before she could hurt her leg or arm. She just held on to me, tightly not letting go. "I gotcha. I gotcha." I kept saying to her while she cried.

The police men went to Luke, who they barley shot, and took him away.

After the police left, I carried Mel bridal style to the couch.

"H-h-how did the police get here?" She asked crying.

"I called," Jess said sitting down.

Mel started crying and hugged Jess for a solid 5 minutes.

Melanie's POV

"What happened after I left to get Brent?" Jess asked.

#flashback to 15 minutes ago 😃

Luke was playing my hair and tapping on my leg cast which made me uncomfortable.

"Luke, if you don't leave, I'll start screaming," I warned him.

"And if you start screaming, I'll do much worse to you then I already did," he said tapping my casts again.

"Wait? You did this to me?!"

"Ding! Ding! Ding!" He said tapping on his nose.

"Help!" I yelled as loud as I could.

"Shut up!" Luke yelled at me then slapped me as Brent walked in.

#end of flashback 😃

"Luke did this to you?" Jess said getting up.

I started crying and just nodded my head. Jess sat down and hugged me and we just cried.
