Chapter 11

MELANIE'S POV

I woke up and it was already 9:00.

I went to my closet and picked out a purple dress that Sydney bought for me, and it's pretty cute. She got the same dress for Jessica, but her's is a light blue, her favorite color.

After I got dressed, I went into my bathroom to do my hair and makeup.

I put loose curls in my long black hair. And for makeup, I did mascara, eyeliner, foundation, my EOS, then some of my favorite cherry lipgloss.

I brushed my teeth and went downstairs to see Sydney making French toast, one of my favorites.

"Happy Sweet 16, Mel!" Sydney said hugging me.

"Thank you!" I said hugging bach. "Where's my dad?"

"Well, why don't you check outside? I saw him go out there," she said smiling.

I walked outside to see my dad and Jessica next to a new red car that said 'Happy Birthday Mel!' on the back of it!

I ran up hugging and thanking them so many times, I lost count.

Dad looked at his watch and told us that we should go inside and eat breakfast.

I went along with it but I really wanted to drive that car!

BRENT'S POV

I looked outside after my shower and saw Mel hugging her dad and I'm guessing her sister a lot, and I had no clue why.

Then I saw that car! Damn, that must have cost a lot.

I got dressed and ate a small bowl of Frosted Flakes (what else?) quickly so I could get over to Mel's house and surprise her.

I walked out and knocked on her front door.

MELANIE'S POV

"Thank you guys so much for my car! That's the one I wanted!" I said hugging everyone again. "I was saving my own money to get that!"

Dad took a bite of French toast then he started talking, "I didn't want riding a longboard and falling off of it," he said looking at my wrists, that I covered," so we all chipped in to buy you that."

I was about to thank him again, but there was a knock on the door.

Everyone was smiling, then Dad spoke up again, "Mel? Could you get that please?"

I opened the door and almost fell down.

"Hey. I'm Brent, and I'm your new neighbor."

Yay!! They met finally!!

I've been meaning to say this but I never did until now.

I wanted to thank you guys again for getting the 100+ goal and I really mean it. But the thing is, you read and I hardly get any votes. I don't mean to sound needy but that's a way I can tell if you like my story. If you like it, then vote or comment or something. I didn't really want to say it like that, but I dont have any idea what you guys like. If you want, you can comment what you want to happen.

I do this in a strange way. I write everything down in a notebook then type it on the update day so if you do leave a comment of what you want to happen, it might come in the story later.

Now that I got that off my chest, I wanted to add one more thing to this note.
