Chapter 21

Jessica's POV

"Who are you?"

I can't believe in a million years that those words would ever come out of Melanie's mouth.

"Um doctor," I said, "why doesn't she remember a lot?"

"Well amnesia (AN: haha. I wish that I could wake up with amnesia. That's for you Samantha and Erin 😂😘) is common with car crashes. But she will remember who you are within the hour," he said.

"Okay. But is there any else that could happen?" Brent asked with a worried tone.

"There is an 80% chance that she won't remember anything that happens within the past two days."

Brent's POV

No. She won't remember meeting me.

The guys.

Our kiss.

"Would you like me to bring your friends in?" The doctor asked nicely.

"No. I'll get them. But thank you," I said.

"Alright. I'll be back later to see if everything is alright," he said.

I walked blankly down the hall to get the guys, and they all had a bunch of questions.

"How is she?"

"Did she survive?"

"Are you alright?"

"Can we get something to eat?"

"Really Matt? Now?"

I answered all their questions and we walked to her room.

Melanie's POV

*A few minutes before*

I woke up to find Jessica crying and some kid standing behind her.

She told him to get Brent- whoever that is- and the doctor.

"Jess? Who was that?" I asked.

"Hayes...?" She sounded confused.

"Who is Hayes?"

"Hayes Grier. You know, he's a part if Magcon? Brother of Nash Grier? We were talking about him earlier."

"Wait. Magcon? Nash? What is all of this?"

The doctor came in and so did this other kid. He's really hot.

"Brent, wait-" Jess tried.

"Mel? Are you ok?" He asked.

Now I'm confused. "Yeah. But who are you?"

This kid Brent looked upset when I said that. Then the doctor started to talk saying how I have amnesia (😉😏) but some memories will come back, just 80% chance not from the past 2 days.

Brent left the room to get some guys and it was just me and Jess.

All of a sudden, some memories came back.

Holy crap! THAT WAS THE BRENT RIVERA!!!!

"Jess!!" I screamed.

She jumped and said "What?!?"

"That. Was. The. Brent. Rivera." I can't breathe. "Why was he so worried about me?"

"Cause you two have a thing going on," she said.

"No we don't! He just moved to Massachusetts."

"Yeah.. next door to us." She looked at me like I was crazy.

"I can't believe it!" Wait. Does he like me?!" Now I'm excited.

"Maybe. Oh- the guys are here," Jess said getting up.

"What guys?"

"Ma-you know what? Never mind. I'm going to get some food. I'll be right back."

Jessica's POV

She really doesn't remember. This won't be good.

I told her I was getting some food, but I really had to talk to the guys.

"Is she okay?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah. But she does to remember meeting any of you guys. She doesn't even remember Brent."

"Will her memory come back?" Cam and Carter asked at the same time.

"80% chance it won't," Brent said before I could.

"Well what are we supposed to do?" Jack Johnson asked.

"You just have to try and see if you can get shed to remember the begs you can," the doctor said sneaking up behind us.

"So just try and show her pictures and see if she remembers?" Jack Gilinsky asked.

"Yes. Now I think you should get home. It's already 9:30," the doctor told us.

Wow. We've been here since 2:16. Time does fly by.

The guys were gonna drive me home, but I had to see Mel before I left. I walked in her room and she was playing with her blanket.

"Hey. I found a ride so I'm gonna head home. I'll be back tomorrow."

"Okay. I'll be here," she said smiling.

We got in the car and drive back to mine and Brent's houses.

We got out of the car and before Brent got to his house, I called him over.

"Do you mind staying the night? It's just I don't want to spend the night by myself," I said looking down.

"Sure," he said. "Let me grab some stuff at my house."

I changed and decided to watch the rest of Up since I fell asleep I the middle of it.

Once it started to play, I cried.

Brent's POV

I told my family what happened to Mel and said I was gonna keep her sister company tonight.

I got everything I needed, and went next door.

Jess said she was going to leave to door unlocked, so I walked in.

I saw that she was watching Up again but when I got closer, I saw that she was crying.

I sat down next to her and hugged her. The only thing she said was "I don't want anything to happen to her."
