Chapter 16

Melanie's POV

While I was dancing with Brent, my ex boyfriend, Luke, walked in. Drunk.

I dated Luke until last month when he cheated on me. Again.

He went straight to the DJ booth and said in the microphone, "Where's Mel? The party has now started!"

Brent saw the worried look on my face and called the guys over.

"Who is that?" Matt asked.

"My ex. He cheated on me so I dumped him. But he won't leave me alone," I told them.

The guys talked the Brent and Nash were bringing me into the kitchen to hide me from Luke.

"Stay here with Nash," Brent said. "The rest of us will try to get him to leave."

"Ok," I said shacking.

Brent's POV

Mel was really freaked out when Luke showed up.

Why would he do that to her? It's her Sweet 16 plus he broke her heart more then once.

Cam, Taylor, Matt, and I went to find Luke, but he was already heading out the door.

"Where are you going?" Taylor asked him.

"Her sister said that she went to a different party, so I'm going to get her," Luke said. I could smell the beer in his breath. "I'm getting my girl back!" He yelled getting in his truck.

The guys shrugged it off and went to get some food.

I went to find Jess, who was still with Hayes, to figure out what she said.

"Jess," I called to her, "what did you tell Luke?"

"I could tell that he was drunk, so I him that Mel went to a different party. And I gave him the police station as the address," she said proudly. "He has a really bad record, so they will most likely lock him up."

"Very funny," I said laughing.

She continued to talk to Hayes, so I took the hint to leave them alone.

I went to the kitchen to tell Mel that Luke left and I saw her crying into Nash's chest.

Melanie's POV

Once the guys left to get Luke our of here, I started crying.

"Why are you crying?" Nash asked.

"Luke is such a jerk," I said between breaths. "I thought he really liked me when we were dating, but then I saw him kissing 2 different girls within the same week. The first time I caught him, he promised he'd never do it again. But then 3 days later, he's kissing the same girl! I don't want that to happen to me again."

"Don't tell anyone I told you this, but Brent really likes you," Nash said pulling me into a hug.

It took me a minute to realize that THE Nash Grier was hugging me, so I started crying more.

That's when Brent walked in and he had a confused/angry look on his face.

"What's going on?" He asked with a worried tone.

"Just, Luke," I told him leaving Nash to talk to Brent.

Brent pulled me into a hug, then Nash came and then, the rest of the guys made their way into the kitchen, most likely looking for some more food. Before I knew it, I was in the middle of a Magcon hug.

This is honestly the best birthday that I have ever had!!!
