The trial has started.

It's on.

My client is Amanda, seventeen year old who's still in high school, pregnant and assussed of murder. I'm the defense lawyer who's trying her best to win the case but so far nothing.

As per the information I got, Amanda belongs to a poor family with three older brothers and a mother. Her brothers don't care about her and her mother can't do much for her. She fell in love with Trevor Wells, son of a doctor. Everyone considered her as nothing but waste. Trevor hadn't known she was pregnant when he told her he didn't want to see her anymore. He'd only been acting on the advice-the insistence-of his parents. They'd been so positive that he was about to ruin his life by getting involved with a girl like Amanda who wasn't worthy of him, they'd threatened not to pay for college if he didn't listen.

Trevor started dating Ella, daughter of his mother's friend very soon. Amanda started stalking Trevor and called him many times asking him to take her back. On the night of murder, Amanda was driving her car with her neighbor, Heather. Ella was walking through that way and Amanda turned the wheel causing the death of Ella.

I don't believe the the last sentence and that is the reason why I'm here in the court as Amanda's attorney. This is the third trial and everything has gone out of my hands.

All the witnesses were against her. Trevor didn't accuse her of anything but he told the truth about Amanda's obsession on him. According to Amanda, it was Heather who turned the wheel but she swears that Heather didn't mean it and it was just for fun and it was too fast and that it was just an accident. At the same time, Heather's testimonial was against Amanda, she told the court that Amanda is the one who turned the wheel. Everyone including my friends, the whole court and the Judge believes that Amanda is the one who committed mistake but something inside me doesn't let me believe them. My friends were giving me grief for taking up the case. My hundred percent record of winning the case may break after this case but I don't care.

Amanda lifts her head and looks at me directly. Her eyes are filled with tears and my heart cracks farther open while my stomach cramps in shame. Where have I gone wrong?

I swivel my head to look at Roy Matthew, the prosecutor. His face is triumphant and filled with haughtiness. I look at Judge who gives me a regretful sigh. I sit there as they destroy the respect of a seventeen year old girl.

After half an hour, the Judge dismissed everyone and scheduled the next trial on Friday which is two days from now. I grab my bag and rose to my feet. I see Ella's parents who are glaring at me and when I walk towards them, Brick, Ella's twin brother takes a step towards me.
